Since Matt & Kim were listed as rumors I decided it was finally time I gave them a chance. Picked up the new album today and I'm really really enjoying it. How does it stack up against their other 2 albums? I think the new album is much worse than the previous two. The others are a lot more frenetic, which is sort of the point of Matt & Kim, I think. Also, Twin Shadow is now confirmed for Primavera, and, as such, might not be at Sasquatch after all.

Actually, I think I'd be this jazzed.

I could see Tokyo Police Club coming since they are skipping Seattle on their first part of their tour. Ohhh I'd be really jazzed if they were there. I think Elephant Shell is really underrated.

Mine is "If She Wants Me" by Belle and Sebastian. I really cannot get over group harmonies and Stuart Murdoch's faux-falsetto.

Fair enough. In other news, Pains of Being Pure At Heart possibly? They have a new album coming out.

This thread is starting to sound awfully hipster to me... and as far as willie goes, the cop who busted him has got to be the biggest assclown on the earth.

Also, I think there's something fundamentally different about recording on a label run by (essentially) Pepsi, and having a song used in a Pepsi commercial. In the former, there are definitely ways for the company to influence the music, whereas in the latter, the finished product is already out there.
I totally thread-jacked this one, guys. I apologize.

Any band that records on Mountain Dew's label will not be seeing me at their show. Wavves only recorded a single for the mountain dew record label and honestly they've gotten some great bands on there. This was one of my favorite songs of the year www.youtube.com/watch?v=lv8IsdbYR9gI'm really hoping they bring Neon Indian back this year Yeah, I'm not saying that being on Mountain Dew's label automatically makes the music bad. Of course, Neon Indian is legit. That being said, I'm really worried about the future of indie music and music in general when I see individual songs and artists that are corporate sponsored. Next up: Girls brought to you by the Trial-Sized Dove Bar?

Wavves and Best Coast are touring together, they haven't been in the NW since October (which, by the time Sasquatch hits, will have been 7 months), and they both have that newly polished-Pitchfork buzz-band sheen all over their faces.

(So this is the first post. I'm going to noob it up for a bit, guys, I apologize.)
Unfortunately, I think Wavves and Best Coast are both shoe-ins. I'm just hoping Zacks brings in Deerhunter and Wild Nothing, both of which seem plausible.
