Of all the myths and rumors surrounding Sasquatch, my favorite is that Cedric got himself banned for life due to that shit. Travis Hay claims it was TMV's final show in Washington. Maybe he wanted revenge for what happened 2 years earlier. Last.fm says they played El Corazon in April 2009, but they weren't on tour at that point, so it's probably a mistake. (link to what happened two years earlier)

The stage assignments don't come out until the set times are announced, around the end of April. In the past couple years the schedule builder tool on the website has made this available a little sooner. But it's going to be at least a couple months until we have more details. It's been that way since 2008 or earlier.

Impossible to rank, so let's go chronological: Angel Olsen The War on Drugs Fuzz Father John Misty Modest Mouse Spoon St. Vincent James Blake Tame Impala Run the Jewels
Just missed the cut: Sleater-Kinney Jose Gonzalez Future Islands Sharon Van Etten Hot Chip
The bass was too high for Real Estate and Little Dragon. Was fixed before FJM's set.

Tala and Pete Davidson are off the schedule, and Perfume Genius has taken Tala's spot in the tent. Will update once the dust settles. Any guesses on who's closing Yeti on Sunday?

I can't stop listening to it, I like it even more than Fear Fun. Ideal Husband sounds like a song by The National, and True Affection reminds me of Adz-era Sufjan.
The rest is exactly what I want and need from J. Tillman. He's gonna put on the best set of the festival if RTJ doesn't get Meow the Jewels wrapped up soon.

...out of every top billed artist at the fest, he has the least amount of albums released by a large margin... Bon Iver, The Postal Service and Macklemore were in a similar situation. For a relatively short set this isn't a big deal.

I just wish Flying Lotus was one of those Friday additions. I would forgive all of the "chillwave" instagram- -inspired electronic shit on this lineup if Snacks just gave me Flylo Layer 3... and Bjork... I was SO sure that Flying Lotus would be on the lineup. Big disappointment, but holding out hope. The headliners are risky, but with a lot of potential. Modest Mouse and Kendrick have a history of unpreparedness. I've seen MM three times (twice at Sasquatch), and the 2011 headlining set was the only one worth mentioning. Completely made up for the prior two shitshows, though. Have heard the stories about Kendrick in this thread. Anyone know if Robert Plant has a lot of variance show-to-show? I mention this because the Gorge tends to bring out the best in performers, and if the headliners live up to their billing I don't see too many issues with the lineup. Excited for Spoon. Haven't seen them in years, the new album's great, and the Julysquatch that never was got me all wound up. Kendrick, Plant, Modest Mouse, Decemberists, Tame Impala, Spoon, St. Vincent, James Blake, Hot Chip, SBTRKT, War on Drugs, Little Dragon, Gogol Bordello, Jose Gonzalez, Chromeo, Father John Misty, RTJ, Future Islands, Sharon Van Etten, Perfume Genius, Sylvan Esso, San Fermin, Bishop Nehru, Will Butler, Ex Hex - - - 25 sets I'm interested in right off the bat, with more to be announced, and more to be discovered. You can only see about 35 sets the whole weekend. It's a great lineup, but the only thing that justifies the incredibly higher price is that people are willing to pay that much.

Looks like a tough market. I have an extra unactivated band that could go for $250.
Or we could barter. That might be fun!

I've noticed a lot of Sasquatch rookies asking for a list of essentials, both on this board and elsewhere. So here's my packing list (refined since 2008), along with notes on some items. There is no more room left on the page so if you have any additions they had better be good. gear list proboards.pdf (56.04 KB)

I've been waiting and my refunds arrived today. Since the July wristband shipping is paid I hope they send me a card or something.

I can't believe that song has been out for almost 40 years and I never listened to it before. I'm beginning to question every decision I've ever made. I seriously feel like I've somehow failed at life. Ditto, but I also blame my parents. They've probably failed to introduce me to several other genre-defining artists.
