I was actually pretty damn disappointed with Pavement. They kept fucking up and Malkmus had a very bad attitude IMO. That being said I did leave early so maybe it got better after I left. I figured people would feel that way. I don't think Stephen Malkmus is the kind of guy to lose his shit and talk about how awesome the audience is and stuff though. I found it all very "Pavement" if that makes sense.

In case anyone cares, it seems Hope Sandoval will be touring with Massive Attack. Don't know if this was mentioned yet.

I have a connection with the venue. They are having the Health department and sheriff out stopping non sanctioned food vendors. Sounds like they will be giving out fines and kicking people out. BE CAREFUL I'm not sure I understand... is the problem that food is being given out, or that there is a monetary exchange? And I didn't think sheriff were allowed to patrol 'quatch. Sounds like BS to me.

I have a feeling the Tallest Man on Earth followed by Cymbals Eat Guitars on the Wookie Sunday is going to be a popular location for members of this board, I'll be thar.

I would say to do it at your own risk.
And hook me up if it works out.

Spend forty bucks on a propane-powered range, or rig a series of magnifying glasses to harness the power of the sun, or I don't know what to tell you. I don't know about magnifying glasses.

"Tip #5 Bring drink mixers. I don’t care how hard-core you are; eighty-degree alcohol does not go down well. That’s not to say that eighty-degree alcohol mixed with crystal light goes down much easier, but it certainly helps. Even if you continually drink water throughout the festival the gorge heat will keep you pretty thirsty and you’ll probably prefer something that you can sip on, rather than grin and bear. But, then again, if you are hard-core, and fiery-hot booze is your thing, then kudos to you."
This is my favourite because it's so true.

I work at starbucks and will have a stock of their instant coffee that I obtained for free. Still need to get water boiling, but I might bring a grill. French presses are great, but that seems a little luxury for camping, and the cleanup isn't the easiest. Also, the starbucks instant coffee disolves well into almost anything of any temperature.

i don't know... maybe I'm just a pussy. I always get like unenjoyably light headed whenever I hookah. Yeah, I understand that. It doesn't happen to me, but I also smoke almost a pack of cigarettes a day.

I could maybe understand the fire hazard thing because coals get super hot and if it's windy, they might blow away, etc.
And hookahs are epic. So delicious.

Rouge makes a beer called Dead Guy Ale that is awesome. Yeah, that's probably their most well known. The markup is pretty high up here and only independent liquor stores carry more than two (they have like 10 non-seasonal beers). Can't wait to stock up and try some new limited edition brews.

I wouldn't worry about it mainly because there are no illicit substances in it. It would just be like me smoking a pipe in my campsite.
