Who the hell voted for Lover's Spit over Superconnected!? I wonder if any of Kevin Drew's "Spirit If" material is available for the setlist... That album has some serious gems. After I saw Tracy Fragments a few years ago, (great movie and BSS does the soundtrack if you didn't know,) I needed my Broken Social Scene fix so I stumbled upon this, immediately admonished myself for not having it already. I think anything off "Spirit I," is one of those, "it's ok to have hope, but never be disappointed to not hear any of it," mindsets.

The Mr. November performance was ridiculous. Seeing there new stuff live, is starting to grow on me a lot more than I expected, very cool. Excitement rising.

I'm guessing it'll be something like this: World Sick Stars and Sons Texico Bitches 7/4 Shoreline Forced to Love Cause=Time All to All Ungrateful Little Father KC Accidental Meet Me In the Basement Lover's Spit This would be my guess, minus "Lover's Spit," and replaced with "Anthems for a Seventeen Year Old Girl"

as much as i love camera obscura, every live video of them i've seen bores me to absolute death. i decided i will be skipping their set entirely to catch all of band of horses. It's a good set if there isn't anything else going on, their albums aren't really powerful to begin with. I will say I've seen BOH four times, and twice were nice open stages, and every time they've been absolutely amazing, you won't miss much not seeing Camera Obscura, unfortunately.

if The National bails on their timeslot this year i'm going to fucking riot this unless they get vw's timeslot which is where they should have been to begin with Yep this pretty much sums it all u... IF THE NATIONAL TRADES LEAD SINGERS WITH VAMPIRE WEEKEND FOR SASQUATCH ONLY I WILL REPLACE BOTH MY HANDS WITH HOOKS AND BOTH MY FEET WITH HOOKS AND MY HEAD WITH A HOOK For no other reason but to see if it's possible, I want to try to make this happen with as much available resources at my disposal.

I can almost guarantee that I am the only person on this board who has seen the Baha Men. Who let the dogs out? I did... when I was about 12 myself... That show was poopin, hahahaha It would have only been better if Lou Vega would have shown up like he was supposed to.

Uhm one's "Massive," and one you walk on, I think that sums it up nicely.

And they closed with Mr. November 47 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (there was a bar fire that ended one show after four songs). That's awesome... As I've mentioned anytime I've seen them they haven't even sang Mr. November, let alone closed with it, but also as I mentioned... that'd be awesome; although Slow Show as a closer... Amazing. I fell in love with the "29 Years," recording, that's what made me love The National, and hearing that chorus in Slow Show just strengthened the sentiment.

Listen to the Hold Steady, but start with their new album, and you'll understand why it's not the same as The National first of all, then listen to their (The Hold Steady's) older stuff, then you'll understand why you should see The National instead... Hold Steady are a great band and they put on great shows... but more of a bar band in my opinion not as much as a festival band; whereas The National are just an amazing band... As Blacksmile puts it, in the top ten for all bands currently recording and touring.

I'm gonna have to say my biggest one is MGMT vs. New Pornographers...
Then there's the lesser ones:
Portugal. The Man vs. Middle East
Local Natives vs. Jets Overhead
Freelance vs. The XX

Missing some of The XX now, and likely won't see much of Jets Overhead/ Freelance Whales/ Phantogram... fortunately I came to grips with not being able to see Miike Snow a long time ago, so it is what it is, but damnit none of the three aforementioned want to roll through my neck of the woods anytime soon... Which sucks, but I can understand why.

At the very least if you ever have conflict with BSS and someone else, BSS wins, hands down. You're likely going to have an opportunity to see who you missed before you get another opportunity to see BSS.

It's a fair opinion... But it's Massive Attack! They've both been around just as long, but Massive Attack 1.) has never really "broken up" before, 2.) There music has proven to be more relate-able throughout the years, 3.) THEY'RE MASSIVE!!!
