I'm pretty sure Lump is the oldest in terms of "board-age". He even told us about his problem with "board-wrinkles"

Young The Giant was alright...nothing too special at least for now.
I've come to like Foster The People less and less since Sasquatch. Also a number of reviews have stated that their LP doesn't hold up the standards and catchiness presented by the EP and I DEFINITELY agree with that. I thought about going to see them at the Showbox but I was like..."nah fuck that".

Some little lady in a live nation uniform saw me leaning on my boyfriend while sitting in the grass outside of Washed Out and said "I'm just going to ask you once to put it away." Woman, I don't even smoke pot. She didn't believe me. She thought my bag of Kombu (dried seaweed) that I was eating was weed. The only person 100% sober while people were rolling around like animals in the grass around me and she decides to ask me about my imaginary drugs. A+ I can't imagine sitting under the blazing sun at the Gorge and nibbling on kombu...

I have a couple I hated and one that was kind of underwhelming Cold War Kids was boring me to tears as I expected them to. But the combination of Beach House, Flogging Molly, Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse made me forget it. I didn't even bother watching Death Cab but I tried listening to the NPR stream...my god I completely grew out of them. Iron & Wine was enormously disappointing for me...It probably has to do with the fact that every other time I've seen him it was just him and his guitar. Anyways, the way he tried to make all of his old songs into a "band" song didn't quite work for me. The sax player was great but my god that was one of the saddest excuse for a drummer I've ever seen live. I stuck around for Walking Far From Home and I went back to Bigfoot for Matt & Kim. Foster The People: With the huuuuuuuuge effing crowd, people yapping, sound problems and late start, they really annoyed me. And the fact that they play identical set every time made me bored considering I watched them on the Coachella broadcast. That and the lead singer is boring to watch...that's unless you enjoy watching a guy shrug his shoulders over and over while he sings. And this may have to do with the crowd or the fact that I got there late but I was rather underwhelmed by DFA 1979. I got there like half way through their set and I had a huge wall of people that are just standing around that I couldn't get through and it was really boring to watch. Also as far as I saw, I saw absolutely no crowd interaction and the way they left the stage by running that obnoxious bass noise wasn't too great either. Anyways, some bitching but these were minor and didn't bother me too much. Loooved this weekend

I had one run in with security all weekend. I had been waiting just outside the gate to get into the pit during Local Natives in anticipation of Wolf Parade. After finally being let in, I think I see my friends still in line. I decide to jump up on the little bench on the backside of the dividing fence for a better view and to coordinate where to meet them. A security guy comes up and asks me to get down; no problem. He then tells me I need to leave the pit and get back in line for this minor offense. I try to reason with him saying I didn't know it was a big deal and I wasn't there to start trouble, all in a very calm manner. He then grabs me forcefully by the arm, my reflexes kick in and I swat his hand away. Bad idea. He says something about resisting and assault. Thank god I am still relatively sober at this point and from there let him know that I had waited in line for over an hour, am really sorry and that he is about to ruin my afternoon for something really minor. He miraculously lets me go with a warning not to cause any more shit. I really shrugged it off as not a big deal when it happened, but after reading some of these other stories, I think I was about 10 seconds away from being head-locked, wrestled to the ground, handcuffed, ejected and detained / jailed. I didn't have a problem with security at all but stories like this makes me fucking angry. Kind of off topic but the security looked really annoyed with the floating toys during Chromeo that a couple of especially pissed off looking ones started to deflate them and throw them in the garbage.

We read every thread. We make fun of the bad ones. Yup. Welcome to your first few days on the board. Here's a tip: Don't tell anyone what to do, how to post, or -- anything. Don't try to tell anyone anything. Baasically this.

Alright here's my top 5 (No particular order) Modest Mouse: I knew that when they started off with Shit Luck that I was in for a goddamned treat and it was. I even got to hear Cowboy Dan which is one of my favorites. AND I even got to hear the newer songs I really love like Dance Hall. The fact that the new songs sounded good was even better. This set made me realize how much I adore this band. Matt & Kim: Leaving the Bigfoot for Iron & Wine was one of the biggest mistakes I made. I just adore how HAPPY those two are. With the great crowd interaction and the hundreds of balloons, they had me grinning the entire time. The Antlers: I began listening to Hospice right after the lineup announcement and now it's one of my favorite albums ever. They only played one song off of it at their show but they all sounded really great. Really looking forward to seeing them again. Flogging Molly: I've loved these guys for many many years and following this with the Flaming Lips (Which I would put at number 6) was a real treat. The first time I saw them I lost my shoe on the first song I jigged with only one shoe on (Ended with a bloody toe few days later). This time none of that occurred and the two Irish car bombs I had that morning treated me very nicely. And they sounded great as usual. Bassnectar: I was there with a friend who's a very big dubstep fan and he loved the whole thing (especially the Pink Elephant). Glowpocalypse met my expectations too although I really wish I was with you all during it...But who fucking cares cause this weekend blew my mind Top 5-10: Flaming Lips, !!!, Head and the Heart, Beach House, Macklemore Disappointments: Iron & Wine, Foster The People, DFA 1979 (Kind of)

I was also really amused by the people in the Pink Robot costumes. Especially once I noticed that they wrote "I want to eat Wayne Coyne" in Japanese.

I'm kind of with other people when it comes needing the whole story to assess but the headlock is definitely unnecessary.
