The new They Might Be Giants album I Like Fun is a strong continuation of their late-era renaissance.
Not as good as Nanobots but better than Glean.

You won't believe this, but Steph and John were not as intent on seeing Paddington 2 as I was. We ended up seeing Three Billboards instead.
Three Billboards was pretty great, but I probably would have liked it more if a.) I hadn't seen it immediately after Phantom Thread or b.) it had been Paddington 2.

We saw Phantom Thread on Saturday. Paul Thomas Anderson is my favorite, and this is one of my favorites of his.
It is the most like Punch-Drunk Love of any of his films. Which is to say, it is brutally funny. Which is to say, it was not at all what I expected.
After thirty minutes, I felt like I had been drinking champagne and huffing nitrous. After two hours, I felt like I had been drinking champagne and huffing nitrous non-stop for two hours.

Sasquatch being confusing over social media? Never heard of that before At least they actually answered people's questions about this one. Not in the comments section, but still. Baby steps. Did they? Doesn't look like they answered my question. Unless they spontaneously removed it like they did the security announcement. I did notice that they changed the event dates back, though.

I totally get why they are doing it. It's what this country does to make ourselves feel better any time we hear about something bad happening somewhere else. Just because it's expected doesn't mean it's not stupid. It's all about the illusion of security. If they genuinely were worried about security there would be vehicle searches as we came in and free/cheap lockers. It's a live nation liability thing with the added benefit of making them more money. Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that LiveNation gave any shits about any people. They are just covering their asses. Also: Pea has brought extra clothes into the festival every year since I've known him. First the glowsticks, then the inflatables, now this. THANKS, PEA.
