I totally get why they are doing it. It's what this country does to make ourselves feel better any time we hear about something bad happening somewhere else. Just because it's expected doesn't mean it's not stupid. It's all about the illusion of security.
If they genuinely were worried about security there would be vehicle searches as we came in and free/cheap lockers. It's a live nation liability thing with the added benefit of making them more money.
Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that LiveNation gave any shits about any people. They are just covering their asses.
Also: Pea has brought extra clothes into the festival every year since I've known him. First the glowsticks, then the inflatables, now this. THANKS, PEA.

The three big ones for me so far this year are
The Residents - The Ghost of Hope The Magnetic Fields - 50 Song Memoir Gorillaz - Humanz
50 Song Memoir is one of the most magnificent records I have ever heard in my entire life. In spite of the fact that The Ghost of Hope is one of the single greatest records the Residents have released in their entire 45 year career, 50 Song Memoir will still probably go down as my #1 of the year.
Miley is incredibly talented, I just don't think she's found her niche yet. It for damn sure isn't her role as the puppy that Wayne Coyne carries around in his purse.
I honestly thought the stuff she did as Hannah Montana was better than most of what she's done since. 100% not joking. I used to listen to Meet Miley Cyrus on a fairly regular basis. I think she dolphinately has talent, but I agree that she has not yet figured out how to put it to the best use.
I had no use for her until I saw her sing 'Silent Night' (I think that was the one) on the Bill Murray/Netflix/Christmas thing. It was so beautiful that I cried. Then I was like, man I bet that girl will do something amazing someday.
