i for one am ready for the transition from a minor league festival to a major league one. Will this transition include a new venue, more expensive tickets, or will we just cram twice as many people into the gorge?

That's right Adam Zacks: When you go after all Indie & Alternative Rock Headliners. You are catering to canadian hipsters. Which is ok if the fest was in Canada.. The fest may not be IN Canada, but luckily for Canadian hipsters it is close to Canada. Thanks Adam Zacks, for not hosting this festival in Arkansas!

People who calls a festival a 'festie' are the kind of people who don't mind if most of the acts they are paying to see sound more or less exactly like the hundreds of drum circles they leave behind in the campground. Sasquatch is a hipster festival, a-hyup! Great for you that a huge list of shitty local jam bands constitutes the 'best festival line-up since what the fuck ever', but if you booked four days at the Gorge with that line-up, Sasquatch would go bankrupt in half a weekend. You must be the type of person that just listen's to everyone's album & doesn't take into account that they may sound even better live. Go see some live shows.. Not even sure what that means, but uh fuck you dude anyway. You're giving hippies a bad name, quit it with that shit. And what's with all the aggression towards the Canadians?

It's probably all those Canadian cigarette butts and empty packs all over the place.

Once again you fail to get the point Gramma...
Local Artist's!?!? Tell me which of the Artist's at Wakarusa are local to that area besides Mountain Sprout..
How many crappy local artist's will be at Sasquatch this year? A lot..
I have been going to Sasquatch since it's inception & plan on going to it forever.. I also go to 3-4 other festivals each year & have a pretty good idea as to what works.. Adding some non-indie artist's would be great for Sasquatch.. Think of when My Morning Jacket last year (headlining waka this year).. I heard more people say that they liked a jam headliner than ever before.. Think Thievery Corporation & Ghostland Observatory (prepped with new grade A light show) wouldn't be a great fit this year for a late night outdoor party..
Here is the leak on about half of what we will see this year at Sasquatch's big 10th Anniversary..
Foo Fighters * Arcade Fire * Pixies * Iron & Wine * Bright Eyes * The Decemberists * Cold War Kids * Fleet Foxes * Wolf Parade * Chromeo * Matt & Kim * Sleigh Bells * Neon Indian * Best Coast * Wavves * Warpaint * Twin Shadow * Das Racist * Foster the People * Fitz and The Tantrums * The Moondoggies Source*
Pretty Weak imho.. Hopefully that does it for you..

Fucking quit it with the unnecessary apostrophes. You got your festival full of shitty dubstep and drum n' bass, don't pretend like there's any crossover appeal to the Squatch crowd AT ALL because there's not.

Your post made me laugh, I remembered that. He actually ranted about the Canadian cigarettes littering the campground two different times. I remember really stupid shit as well.

Haha, Squatchcreep you're just making a better case against Wakarusa since pretty much everyone here would rather see any of those bands you listed instead of Umphrey's McGee

Dude, we're not going to your shitty festival in Arkansas, but enjoy yourself. Bassnectar (Best Dubstep in the US) EOTO (Best Live Electric Act Out There) This is just silly. If you are a hippie, his quote is highly accurate. Ever been to a Bassnectar show? Lots of patchouli. And EOTO, it's like, those dudes in that super awesome String Cheese thing.

Eww hipsters. Not looking forwards to the hipsters. Small price I have to pay for a great festival (: It's not that hipstery, don't worry. (I've been to Pitchfork twice, I would know.) And even if it was, spending time with the clientele wakarusa would attract, you'd be praying for hipsters. (And this is why I have never been to Bonnaroo and never plan to)

I guess it's a simple difference in opinion that sets us apart..
You all would rather spend your Memorial Weekend with a bunch of foreigners.. You would rather watch music that does not translate very good to a live setting..
I would rather spend my holiday with Americans.. I would rather watch music that translates & is meant for a live setting..
Ohhh and to all you that knock on the hippies: Who do you think brings your party supplies for that weekend?
Certainly not the Canadians that go home on Monday and make the last day of our great northwest festival a ghost fest.. Free tickets.. Trash piled high.. Greening sucks with live nation.. They take your $$ but won't properly dispose of waste & recyclables..

Your english doesn't translate so good(sic). Maybe it's just echoey in my igloo, and the sound is muffled by my toque.
