That's exactly what it is, and it's delicious. I sampled it at the brewery a few years ago but only recently have started seeing it pop up in random bars. If you're a fan of the Chopper and like an extra kick to your beer then I would definitely try it if you ever see it.

Oh shit!! Stormy! Guess what I found on tap at one of my local watering holes last night!? Leafer Madness! I was so excited to see it and I wasn't disappointed at all. Very tasty beer. What brewery does that?

I have only been to Georgetown one time. Pretty much everything there was delicious. Mannys even tasted better there and we liked the auto cleaning/filling machines they made for their growlers. Nifty stuff

Haha fuck. It had a generic tap handle and "Leafer Madness" was all that was written on their chalkboard. I could have sworn it was the one that Stormy was talking about in April. Disregard!

I really want to find that one she was talking about though. That sounds amazing

I wish Lagunitas and Elysian would switch places. The only thing Elysian has going for it is their pumpkin ales. Man they know how to do those right.

I don't have any problems with Elysian but I have yet to enjoy any pumpkin beer. That is purely just because I don't enjoy the pumpkin flavor in general.
I wouldn't say I order Elysian when it is in bar but I would be OK with some of there brews. They had that Golden Boot one for a while which I really enjoyed.

I just think they experiment far too often for a big name microbrewery that at best has an average lineup of beers. They need to peg down a few really stellar year-round offerings before they continue on with all of these bizarre "12 beers of the apocalypse" type gimmicks that they keep coming up with. Like I said though, their pumpkin ales are fucking fantastic. I look forward to those every single fall.

Haha, I got ya. I believe the Lagunitas one was pretty limited.

Nifty stuff Georgetown is great, one of my Sasquatch friends (some of you probably met her, she's like 5'1") is good friends with Manny himself. We got eight growlers from there for Sasquatch, and the five of us finished them Thursday night. Whoops!

Fat Tire is one of the worst beers ever made. Yes, that is a hyperbolic statement, but that's just how I like to describe it.

I even have a hard time with the much loved Ranger I.P.A. (at least in my friend circle). I heard that the head honchos at Elysian and New Belgium are romantic so that is where the collabs started.

I'm pretty sure we had a case of that at Sasquatch this year and it thought it was decent. Then again 75% of the beers I drank that weekend were High Life, Natural Ice (for shotgunning only) Ranier. Any beer that comes from a bottle after that will seem good by comparison. It was also an amber ale which is probably my favourite kind of beer.

Next time you are in BHAM make sure and give it a try!

Holy shit. WA Brewers Fest is so fucking busy. There were people waiting to get in about an 1.5 hrs before last call. It was cool but damn. I am sure Saturday and Sunday are both going to be even busier. Get there early to enjoy smaller lines
