Best part is, Stormy, we're such regs that some of the staff lets us in for free. We are going if I come to Bonnaroo. Case closed.

So I went to Craft Beer Market this evening. On the menu there was "Big Rock Scottish Ale blah blah blah...". I ordered it, and the waitress warned me that it was "heavy" and asked if I had had it before. I said 'No, but I'm sure it'll be fine".
Turns out Big Rock just renamed McNally's. As good as it is, and heavy as it is, I don't think the warning was justified. And I've had it tons of times, seeing as you can buy six-packs....

9 times out of 10 when someone warns you about a beer they have no idea what they're talking about.

9 times out of 10 when someone warns you about a beer they have no idea what they're talking about. Probably the case. I was pretty unimpressed with our waitress in general. The big bonus was being seated next to a table of female bar-stars who knew all of the staff and had deep discussions regarding "which shot should we do" seeing as "we're all hung-over and this will be our first shot today". YOU'RE AT A PLACE THAT IS KNOWN FOR CRAFT BEER LADIES, WTF ARE YOU DOING SHOTS?

The other night a waitress warned me about how hoppy a particular new beer was that they had on tap, but upon trying it I tasted nothing but a sweet and malty mess of a beer.

I suspect something simliar was going on here. Granted I've probably had more different kinds of beer than the average person, but if I order something specifically, I'm pretty sure I can handle it.

I drank Tequila and beer all night last night and I'm 100% on the IPA bandwagon now. Amazing.
