I just think she looks so good in period costume.

Pride and Prejudice was a masterpiece and should have won best picture that year seriously? Hell yeah. Forget the source material and the fanbase for a minute - that was a beautifully shot movie.

I was about to post a pic of her from Hotel Chevalier in response, but then I decided against it.

Hotel Chevalier FTW.
Those pictures of them side-by-side are freaky. I had them mixed up in the first set.

What I'd like to know is, who the hell is this King's Peach and why didn't Avatar win best picture?? Totally rigged.

Oh yeah, I heard that skank got nakie in that one So perhaps Disney knows how to turn Knightly into a sultry wench, but I still stand by my statement that Portman is a much more talented actress. And Drew--I'm not much of a chick-flick kinda girl, but I felt like P&P was a tad overrated. Sure, cinematography was brilliant, but the film lacked from an acting stand point, I believe--particularly from Knightly's end. She was the lead and was I saw the least amount of change in her.

Pride and Prejudice was a masterpiece and should have won best picture that year seriously? let's take a closer look... The Nominees that year were (winner in bold): Crash, Brokeback Mountain, Good Night and Good Luck, Munich and Capote based on that competition - NO, it probably shouldn't have won... but a nomination, surely? Other movies that were snubbed for best picture that year were: Broken Flowers, Walk the Line, Cinderella Man, Syriana and The Constant Gardener. hmm... was Pride & Prejudice better than any of those movies? Not sure about that one either.

K, I'm chiming in on this late. But anyone who says Keira knightley is better the Natalie Portman is just plain wrong. Sorry JWW.

You're entitled to your opinion. Again, I'm not saying she's a better actress.

As are you, I didn't mean to directly call you out. I have just had a crush on N.P since I was a wee lad.

I think based on the last photo it's Knightly and Ryder that look the most alike.
But like Catherine said, they're all petite brown-eyed brunettes, which is likely what causes this argument.

Cbats - 16 Know - 15 Comeswithasword - 14 Stamper - 14 Drew - 14 cool ice - 11 Horned - 10 Souly - 10 I developed a higly sophisticated methodology in determining my Oscar picks, and I would've gotten a victory if it wasn't for that pesky cbats. I didn't actually watch one movie I voted for, but it goes to show that extensive research and sound reasoning skills can lead to highly accurate Oscar picks. As is, I am just happy I beat most of the movie experts here, especially Drew.

It's way more about the facial structures, I would say.

Well at least I tied for last place. Also. Knightly has gross teeth.
