To be honest I agree with most of that except I think Restrepo will win Documentary and something besides Toy Story 3 will win Sound Editing. I also think King's Speech has a shot at Best Picture now.
Randy Newman and Trent Reznor FTW

I think you have to BS unless you get the DVDs from the Academy. Who watches documentary shorts on their time off? My girlfriend's mom gets the DVDs from SAG because she's a member. She never votes, so I told her this year I'd watch everything and vote for her. So if Pee-wee Herman wins a lifetime achievement award from the Screen Actors Guild, you know I had a hand in it.

Man, these are probably the best bunch of nom's the academy has doled out in awhile. With the exception of snubbing Nolan (WTF) and overrating Winter's Bone and Kids Are Alright (the "Little Miss Sunshine" Indie Noms), they done pretty good. Glad Eisenberg got nominated (was sure that Gosling was). He blew me away in Social Network. Totally elevated himself out of "Jesse Eisenberg" in that role. For me at least.

I didn't really like Zombieland other than the Bill Murray parts.

Saw the Fighter today, I recommend to everyone. I don't remember the last time I so involved in a movie. I was jumping out of my seat during the boxing sequences, totally forgetting I was watching a movie instead of a live fight. The soundtrack is hilariously awesome. There is a beautiful moment when the two main characters sing along to Whitesnake. Christian Bale was amazing. Definitely the front runner for best supporting.
God, I just loved it so much. It's been awhile since a film moved me and made me so happy like that.

Saw black swan last night. My brain is powered by happy thoughts and puppies and rainbows, so it was a little dark for me, but very well done indeed. The mother was careeepy.

This week alone we've seen Rabbit Hole, The Kings Speech and the documentary Exit Through The Gift Shop...Not a Nicole Kidman fan, but Rabbit Hole was probably the best she has been in since The Others.
I had read about the street artist Banksy, but did not know fo the Thierry Guetta angle...The documentary is well worth seeing
Of course, The Kings Speech is superb throughout

i know a lot of people like The Others... but I always thought it was painfully predictable. As for Nicole Kidman, the moment she started doing the botox-to-the-forehead injections I stopped watching her movies. She looks like an alien now and it's distracting.
<----- not like that alien, exactly... but close
