Here's something all the David Lynch fanatics of this board will enjoy... i assigned my students Mulholland Drive to watch by next Monday. I can't wait for the awkward classroom conversations to commence on that one... stay tuned. Jesus, please tell me you teach in a college or university.

Watched 'Exit Through the Gift Shop' over the weekend. Fascinating and hilarious, one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. Last night did a double feature of the first two Police Academy movies. Oh Michael Winslow, u so crazy! Plus a very young 'Bob Goldthwait' in the second one. Also watched 'Devil', the M. Night thing. What a fucking joke. Police Academy is so good it almost deserves its own thread.

Watched 'Exit Through the Gift Shop' over the weekend. Fascinating and hilarious, one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. This was the first I'd ever heard of Mr. Brainwash, what a nutty thing. I love how he just sidles up and in the blink of an eye finds himself being the poster child of a culture he's just barely even a part of! Mr. Edward Sharp right?. Also love the part where everyone going to his show are idiots (not to sound snobby but what an honest look at why certain individuls rise as a result of the "cool press" wanting to be the first to the punch and getting it all wrong". Very fun all around. A true character.

Weird... weird. Instead of Police Academy last night, we were this close to doing a Ralph Bakshi double feature with 'Wizards' and 'Fritz the Cat'.

I watched it for probably the 40th time over the weekend and I still found myself laughing uncontrollably as if it was the first time.

So glad this came up, just watched this again for the first time in years last Saturday. I was even going to come on and post that "that's all I need" quote but I dun' forgot. You know you're in for a good movie when it starts out with Steve Martin saying: "It was never easy for me. I was born a poor black child."
