I am in love with Walk Hard but have never seen Walk The Line. We saw Hunger Games today. I enjoyed it. There were a few issues but I thought it was good. I haven't read the books so I am not sure how it compares. Like what issues?

HUNGER GAMES SPOILERS*****************
The shaky cam was a bit much. They didn't seem to gave enough time to really develop the characters, like I know I should feel sympathy for Rue as she is innocent and, like represents Katniss' sister. And I do feel sad for her, but just because she is this adorable little girl in a horrible situation... I just don't really know who she is. Or really any of them.

I am in love with Walk Hard but have never seen Walk The Line. I have watched the part with the Beatles every day this week. 'Of course I have I'm the leader of the Beatles!' 'Great Record'

They have so much stuff to try and fit in the movie that some things don't get as developed as you'd like it to be.

Had the strangest experience yesterday watching Best Worst Movie.
In addition to being really funny and sweet, it provided me with a serious blast from the past. In the final third of the film or so when the film Troll 2 is being introduced at a fan screening in Utah, the MC at one of the screenings is a man named Blair Sterret.
Blair is an old sort-of friend of mine who I knew briefly when I lived in Utah. He used to do a weekly Oddity Rock radio show at Weber State college, and it was sitting in the radio studio at Weber State with Blair and my then-girlfriend Bethany that I heard the Residents for the very first time. So this fella Blair (who in the film is still wearing the same stupid hat he always wore when I knew him) is the guy who actually introduced me to the Residents.
It was creepy because I've been thinking about him for the last couple of weeks; I've been toying with the idea of sending him an email and telling him just how huge an impact he had on my life by deciding to play the Residents' cover of Elvis Presley's 'Teddy Bear' to an audience that probably existed solely of Bethany and myself.
Funny.

We've also been watching hella Errol Morris documentaries lately, including The Thin Blue Line, Mr. Death, Fast, Cheap and Out of Control and Vernon, FL. Morris is by far the best documentarian we have, and every one of his films is something really special.
We also watched that Being Elmo movie yesterday. I cried like a baby the whole damn time.

The Thin Blue Line is amazing. Have you seen Morris' new one, Tabloid? Like many of his films it is a wild story and centres around one hell of an engaging personality.

Wow. Paul Giamatti, Russell Brand AND a monkey?
Isn't that overdoing it just a little?

I feel like the monkey is the eleventh most ridiculous thing in that trailer

2012 Tom Cruise with long rocker hair is overdoing it enough.
