Metallica has officially surpassed Sigur Ros at the Paramount for the most money I've ever spent on a single show. Although the Metallica show has three bands on the bill, so Sigur Ros still holds the most money per band title.

How much did you guys pay to see Metallica in 2017? After taxes and fees, a GA floor ticket came out to $186.50, aka more than twice as much as I paid for my entire Lollapalooza ticket the other time I saw them 20 years ago. It's crazy expensive for a single show, but I don't care. I haven't seen them in 20 years, I missed them last time they came through (with Lamb of God and The Sword, no less), and there's no way I'm missing them this time.

Maybe? But it would be weird to announce the biggest band on the poster in phase 2. I'd say a Bumbershoot return is more likely.

I was at a club in Berlin a couple months ago and found out later in the evening that Marie Davidson was the one performing. Barely remember it but I had an amazing time. Wish I had known ahead of time so I could have paid more attention and danced less.

Kangding Ray @ Kremwerk, March 16 This show is gonna be bonkers. If you haven't heard his new album, picture Blanck Mass/Fuck Buttons ed through a Jon Hopkins lens. Dark, brooding, atmospheric, noisy dance music with a sinister edge. Can't recommend it highly enough. Hope to see some of you there because this is an insane booking that will probably never happen again. Tickets are currently $15.72 after fees.
