Everything about that sounds pretty neat except for Karen O. I really can't stand her :/ But have you even listened to Karen O, on weed?

My slate of shows I'm attending this summer/fall season is shaping up to be rather awesome so I just wanted to post them to brag, and to see if anyone else is going to any of these shows. I'm in the bay area and I know there are a few others on the board who are too. so - who's comin' with me? Sept 10 - Fleet Foxes, Greek Theater, Berkley Sept 25 - Twin Shadow, Great American Music Hall, S.F. Sept 27 - TV on the Radio, Fox Theater, Oakland Oct. 1 - Neon Indian / Purity Ring / Com Truise - Rickshaw Stop, S.F. Oct. 2 - Amon Tobin: ISAM Live, Eskmo - The Warfield, S.F. Oct. 9 - Little Dragon, Mezzanine, S.F. Nov 2 - Phantogram, Filmore, S.F. I've seen Phantogram, Little Dragon, and Twin Shadow before, all were Awesome so I'm going for round two. The rest will be my first time, including TVOTR, even though I've been a fan of theirs since Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes first came out (I know, what's wrong with me??). EXTREMELY excited to see Amon Tobin's ISAM Live show. If you're not familiar with it, it's basically the future of on-stage visual production. Here are a couple links to videos of his setup: (sorry, I still haven't figured out how to embed videos). www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWai4UZ0OqIwww.youtube.com/watch?v=WLrt7-kIgIM&feature=relatedwww.youtube.com/watch?v=LeBuEPFf_SM&feature=relatedWords cannot describe how excited I am for my unusually Gem-packed show calendar. Anyone else catching these shows as they tour through your hometown?

Sage - I MIGHT be at that Amon Tobin show, if I can round up the money. If so, I'll be messaging you cause I'd be alone and need friends. I really wanted to go to TVotR but didn't get tickets, and Twin Shadow will be great. I'm also hitting up Olivia Tremor Control and Feist at the Great American Music Hall, and Bon Iver at the Greek.
Oh, and PORTISFUCKINGHEAD at the Greek as well, which I think about every day for a few minutes as a sort of mental masturbation.

Anyone in the NW attending An Evening With Cake at Edgefield? I've seen Cake live twice in the last eight months, and it was worth every penny, but I'm having a tough time fathoming paying $50 to see Cake live again.
I don't know, I'd rather enjoy what Cake has to offer from the comfort of my living room, and saving the $50, but I can't say no to a circle of friends watching Cake live.

Bieber's goin and he's trawling for folks to come with. I'm considering it. A late summer evening with Cake at an outdoor venue sounds undeniably appealing.

I feel bad for people that stumble upon this board, looking for Sasquatch, finding only Horse Porn.

Personally, I have never seen Cake. I was out of town when Cake was at The Cosmopolitan, if memory serves correct, headlining at The Chelsea. Many artists cover Cake though, so I have enjoyed the work of Cake. I aim to see Cake soon.

I'm in the bay area and I know there are a few others on the board who are too. so - who's comin' with me? I'm broke, son. I can't make it to any of those shows unless I get in for free. However I may be at TH&TH at the Independent in October. You know, it's one of those "sorry you can't come to the festival, here's a sample of what you're missing" consolation night shows during Treasure Island.
