That is the first and only non Sasquatch show I've seen there, and I haven't been to the gorge at all since 2013. It's gonna be so weird and wonderful and I can't fuckin contain myself. Just out of curiosity as you are one of the people I see most often on the Sasquatch boards, why haven't you gone since 2013? A wild Babyfox appeared!

I believe Sasquatch get's it's "magic" from the Gorge. I've been going to festivals and one night shows since 99. I can say that every show is special, and Sasquatch doesn't stand out too much.

Just for fun and to test my memory, I put together this list of all the shows I've seen at the Gorge. At least I think this is all of them (the late nineties are a bit hazy in my memory). Lollapalooza 1994 (Green Day, L7, Nick Cave, A Tribe Called Quest, George Clinton & The P-Funk All Stars, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins) Lollapalooza 1995 (Beck, The Jesus Lizard, Yo La Tengo, Pavement, Cypress Hill, Hole, Sonic Youth) Pantera / White Zombie / Eyehategod - 1996 Lollapalooza 1996 (Devo, Melvins, Rancid, The Ramones, Soundgarden, Metallica Lollapalooza 1997 (Failure, Julian and Damien Marley, Tricky, Snoop Dogg, Tool, The Orb) Rage Against the Machine / The Roots - 1997 Ozzfest 1999 (System of A Down, Primus, Slayer, Deftones, Slipknot (before I knew who they were), Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath) Nine Inch Nails / A Perfect Circle - 2000 Sasquatch! 2006 (Friday Only) Tool / Isis - 2006 Sasquatch! 2007 (Sunday only) Ozzfest 2007 (Chthonic, 3 Inches of Blood, Nile, Behemoth, Hatebreed, Lamb of God, Ozzy Osbourne) Sasquatch! 2013 Sasquatch! 2014 Sasquatch! 2015 Sasquatch! 2016 Sasquatch! 2017 Turns out Ozzfest was actually the last non-Sasquatch show I saw there. But it was still a festival, so I'm not sure it counts. Edit: NIN/APC was 2000, not 1999 A shit, I forgot about the NIN/APC show. That was my first Gorge show. Then: Sasquatch! 2006 Tool/Isis - 2006 Sasquatch! 2009 Sasquatch! 2010 Sasquatch! 2011 Sasquatch! 2013

Just out of curiosity as you are one of the people I see most often on the Sasquatch boards, why haven't you gone since 2013? I got married in 2014, had a baby in 2015, and attended Shambhala 2014, '15, and '16 in addition to Bumbershoot in 2015 and a couple other smaller things. The Gorge is a big commitment, and the Sasquatch! lineup hasn't been to my taste for the last few years.

I wish I caught that NIN/APC show. That shit needs to happen again. I haven't made it to an APC show at all.

I didn't even know who they were when I heard they were opening (that was before the internet was what it is now). I had tickets to see them again at the Spokane Opera House a few years later, but they cancelled the show like two days before it was supposed to happen because Maynard got sick.

Have some friends from Calgary heading to it and am debating going. Didn't get my Gorge fix this year for first time in 7 years :*(

Warning cancelled their set at Northwest Terrorfest. Pretty bummed about it but their reps have been super apologetic and are apparently lining up a replacement they "think we'll be pleased" with, so there's hope. I hope they have their shit figured out by August. This is going to be epic.

Do you really need to ask how awesome Tool was at the Gorge? I think you can answer that one for yourself. And if you can't, you should probably just stay home.

Ozzfest 2007 (Chthonic, 3 Inches of Blood, Nile, Behemoth, Hatebreed, Lamb of God, Ozzy Osbourne) Whuh? Damn, I thought I was going to have to correct you on this, but apparently in 2007 there was a White River AND Gorge date?? I had no idea they did it there again after it moved to White River a few years earlier.

That was the year it was free too, so that was even better. I did go to one Ozzfest at a White River a year or two before this one and swore to never go back to that shit hole again.

Fucking weird. I vaguely remember something about that free promo, but I can't for the life of me figure out why I didn't take advantage of it. I would have killed to see Nile and Behemoth for free. The only Ozzfest I went to was in 2004 when Sabbath, Priest, and Slayer all played. That's an impressive top line right there.

To those who have seen others shows at The Gorge, does it feel weird being there when it's not Sasquatch? Fun fact. The first time I ever went to the Gorge was for a Christian music festival when I was 15. I've wiped so much of that memory clean that I don't even recall ever having my first "holy shit" moment upon seeing the view for the first time. *cue "holy shit" Jesus jokes*
