Katy Perry's obsession with her own breasts scares me.

She seems to hate women and I cannot stand her. She's prime time Lipstick Feminism, where they believe it is empowering to use your sexuality to get a head. Only what is actually happening is they are fully and completely fulfilling a male fantasy and being rewarded for doing so while not realizing the rewards and favors will be gone and frowned upon if they should choose to step outside of this "male friendly" version of so called power they've created for themselves. Young girls, do not listen to her! Dance, but don't listen. EDIT: Dudes need to pay attention the most to this as it is Man's doing that has opened the door for all of this. C'mon guys!

Dance, but don't listen dance like her. I fully agree with everything you said, FD. It sickens me that acts like Katy Perry are what are influencing girls.

She is also insulting to the homosexual community. Her first single is called "Ur So Gay" where she is calling someone that as an insult. "I Kissed a Girl" is the equivalent of those drunk girls at the bar who are trying to get the attention of the males around them.

A local venue just announced they will have Ratatat playing on June 3rd. Looks like they have a pretty kick ass show. I'll have check it out, and compare how they are in a festival compared to a smaller theatre setting.
Next Friday Korn and Disturbed.

Roseland. It's not sold out yet. I'm not heading over for another hour though.

Oh haha that's today's date. If it is even possible, apparently I'm too stoned to go see Medeski, Martin & Wood tonight.

Gonna go see Jethro Tull in June. This summer is lookin to be full of awesome classic rock shows. Jethro Tull was the second show I ever saw. This was probably 1994; I was probably thirteen. I was so fucking in love with going to concerts that you could have taken me to see just about anything and I would have loved it. They played at my favorite venue in the world, San Francisco's Warfield Theater. And it is still one of the most ridiculously awful shows I've ever seen. Like, I was embarrassed for Ian Anderson, then in his early sixties, still standing on one leg playing flute solos. I love (LOVE) me some Tull, but I don't think I could ever go see them again.

Oh shit though, it's an Aqualung 40th Anniversary Tour... Might need to reconsider that.

Looks like Journey will be coming through Portland as well. vdob.blogspot.com/2011/03/journey-foreigner-night-ranger-us-tour.htmlI'm going to try to make it up to Portland this Summer to see some family, and hopefully catch a show, but I'm not seeing any good weekend shows. I would do Rush, but I already threw down some serious cash to get decent tickets at the Gorge.
