@hectic. Listen, obviously we have differing personalities and probably won't see 100% eye to eye on this thing. My main frustration with your comments are that you seem to be addressing this issue as if it existed in a vacuum. You seem to intellectualize the problem the same as you would a computer program, to me that is a luxuary that only those who are white, male and straight can posses when discussing inequality.

@fd I dolphinately am all of those things and well aware that it biases my viewpoints. I'm not trying to look at anything in a vacuum, but I also think that considering what constraints might be imposed on how social systems are constructed based on the basic ways in which people are wired are important to consider.
I don't think we are as far from reconciling our viewpoints as it looks like- I think there is a great deal of evil in the world, and there are dolphinately parts of the porn industry that exemplify our evils. I am not myself a huge supported of the porn industry, though I'd be lying if I said I've never watched porn. I do however think the issue is with more legitimate forms of objectification, as they are a whole lot more tractable than the influence of socialization.
There are designated places on the internet for porn. This is not one of them. It should stay on it's xxx sites. I personally think it's disgusting and in no way an expression of natural sexuality. Keep your perv avi's to yourself.
