Nice. Now we just need to get people to recognize the 150 miles in there...

I'm working on a Facts (read this first) type post to sticky at that top of this board that will answer a lot of the most common questions. It won't help too much for attendees this year, since it looks like the festival is mostly sold out, so most of the questions have already been asked. As the Sasquatch Vibe post on the blog states, I believe we will see a lot more travelers attending in the future than previous years.
The location being in the middle of nowhere is definitely something that will be addressed first, right after the statement that lawn chairs are not allowed.

How far is it between stages? How much time does it take to get from the main stage to the wookie, yeti, etc.

It's probably like 5 minutes between Sasquatch and Wookie depending on crowds, and what side of the stage you are on to begin with. Wookie and Yeti are pretty close like 2 minutes apart. Yeti is a bit closer to Sasq, but not by much. The Dance Tent is closest to Wookie, but still probably only 3 minutes to Sasq. Overall, all the stages are pretty close, it just depends what kind of crowd you run into.

is the sound bleeding from other stages just horrible, if the stages are so close to each other?

Last year was the first time the stages were so close, and the bleed was barely noticeable. Although, wind can do some crazy things with sound, and it was mostly calm last year (a first).
The only place to worry about it is at the Yeti, which typically houses bands with a softer sound. Poor Beach House last year. Not only did they have sound issues of their own, but the wind was blowing from the mainstage toward the Yeti, so all you could hear was Silversun Pickups. The Knux were also pumping out terrible noise on the Wookie next door, so they were screwed all around.

I'm a total girl, and I'm sure I'm not the only first-timer-female concerned about this, but I need someone to brief me on clothing suggestions (I know, I know).
I know it'll be hot during the day, so I plan on packing plenty of wispy sundresses and sandals (shorts aren't my thing), but I'm coming from Atlanta and heard it will get cold as the sun sets--so I'll pack light pullovers.
Just a few questions: How cold can I expect it to get at night? What other clothing items should I bring with me that I may be forgetting? Bra or bikini top? Who sells the best sundresses? Urban, Old Navy, Gap etc.
If anyone can catch me up on the typical "fashion" of Sasquatch, I'd appreciate it :-)

Ha! Thanks for the suggestions :-) the first two replies were definitely helpful. The last two were mildly degrading, but funny nonetheless! ;-)

I am more than willing to sacrifice moral standards for an occasional laugh.
But seriously, the weather is a guess right now. 2005, it was high 90s. 2006, there was a giant hail storm, and it was cold. 2007 was average temperature wise (mid 70s by day, mid 40s by night), but the wind was so heavy, several people lost their tents. Last year was perfect, mid to high 80s each day, 50 at night.
Online weather is pretty accurate within three or four days, so check the weather before you leave, yet still plan for the worst.

As a more senior gentleman in my late twenties, I let the whole hipster thing pass me by. Although I do admire the creativity of the hipster culture, I do enjoy the occasional chuckle at their fashion sense (sorry if I offend). And I would look soooo awkward in a pair of tight jeans.

I was pretty amazed by some of the get-ups last year myself. Not so much by their fashion sense (you will see extremes in EVERY genre of music) but more so the amount of layering and accessorizing some of the people did with their outfits in that insane heat. I was wearing shorts and white t-shirts all weekend and I was still a sweaty mess. Kudos to anyone who can wear a sweater vest over a purple v-neck with leopard pants, 3 belts, and a knit cap in 90 degree weather.

Depends how much you are willing to pay, and how sketchy you look. I'd do it, but I'm anti-underage drinking. Especially when that shit is available in grocery stores.

Just a regular music lover from Canada who's not used to being underage. I don't understand what you mean about grocery stores though?

i think the grocery store note was just related to his morals regarding underage drinking. there's a gas station right by the gorge that we always buy alcohol at if we can't fit enough in the car at the beginning. if you went there' i can't imagine many people turning you down. i'd buy your beer if i was there. i'm sure a lot of people feel the same if you want beer in the venue...well, frankly, you don't. it's way too expensive. if you're caught drinking without a 21+ wristband you could get in some trouble but if someone buys you some in the venue just be subtle about it

If the heat is anything like it was last year then I will likely opt to remain sober during the festival and save the drinking for the campground. Takes way too much energy out of me to try and maintain a buzz all day with that sun blazing down the whole time.
