Thom Yorke seems too big. Not impossible, but don't hold your breath. Street Sweeper Social Club played last year... that would be a totally unnecessary repeat. I know, I don't really expect Thom Yorke to be added. And I wasn't implying that I wanted SSSC back, I was just comparing the star-power of the two bands.

Looks like Besnard Lakes have added some American Dates and will be in Philly on May 29, not looking good for Sas appearance, although there isn't a Seattle date, so who knows?
05/07/10 Portland, OR - Mississippi Studios 05/08/10 Eugene, OR - W.O.W. Hall 05/10/10 San Francisco, CA - The Independent 05/12/10 San Diego, CA - Casbah 05/13/10 Los Angeles, CA - Troubadour 05/14/10 Tempe, AZ - Sail Inn 05/15/10 Tucson, AZ - Plush 05/20/10 Dallas, TX - Granada Theater 05/24/10 Chicago, IL - 05/26/10 Cleveland, OH - Beachland Ballroom 05/27/10 Washington, DC - Black Cat 05/28/10 New York, NY - Bowery Ballroom 05/29/10 Philadelphia, PA - Johnny Brenda's
Pink Mountaintops would be a great add, they are doing a show in Austin in Apr. and nothing scheduled for them or Black Mountain until July 9th

I am so glad other people are saying Besnard Lakes and Black Mountain as well. They are AMAZING!!! I wish it would happen, so who knows. Black Mountain/Pink Mountaintops and Besnard Lakes put on incredible shows. If you ever get the chance to see them go!

ya, i think i can suck it up just fine you fucking prick. Hey, no need for that. I'm just saying, how many times have you actually had to drive to Vancouver to see a show? Because I've had to drive into Seattle numerous times to see my favorite bands. I might also be bitter because a few of those trips ended disastrously.

no, there is a need for that. i didn't say anything personally offensive to you yet you fired back at me. i can bitch all i want about tours skipping seattle, and it DOES happen. seattle has offered a hell of a lot more to the music scene on a global scale than vancouver ever has or will, so yes, seattle should be a top priority on a west coast tour.

and rumours...? Come on people. Peace and love. Calgary gets even fewer shows than Seattle and Vancouver and has definitely contributed less to the music scene, but I deal.

You are calling our city less important than other West Coast cities, and wonder why any band in their right mind would have to audacity to skip Seattle for a low-life town of Vancouver. You've touched on a sensitive issue with us Canadians and our inferiority complex. We hate being considered less important than you guys. Whether that's right or wrong is not the point. The point is that you touched a nerve and got the appropriate response from it. And you will get that response from a majority of Canadians, so unless you don't care for us anyways (which is fine), just be mindful of what you say.

Should we leave this to peatrick and jobosrock, or do all the Canadians want to leap on-board? If so, I'm siding with Seattle.

What bradbeard says it pretty true I guess, but when I first commented thats not really what I had in mind at all. Really, all I was thinking was "More often (but not ALWAYS), bands play Seattle and miss Vancouver (I even know the main reason for this from talking to bands, and that is border hassles) and if anyone should be complaining its Vancouver." I was also hungover and on a low of having 2 weeks off and now having school later that morning and not really looking to start and international dispute, but here we are...
