By all accounts Zacks is very proud of the lineup this year. If it is indeed the "redemption" lineup we all expected last year then I wouldn't put it past them to splash out with a reunited SP. Especially if they do some sort of exclusive LiveNation tour. They could just supplement their booking cost or something to help make it feasible for Sasquatch. If they do have Smashing Pumpkins lined up, everything else will be forgiven. I'm honestly not the biggest fan of their albums, but I love of live music can be traced back almost 25 years to the time I saw Smashing Pumpkins. It was the first time I realized how much better live music could be compared to the album versions. I would do seriously unholy things for the chance to see them at the Gorge again.

If Smashing Pumpkins is on the lineup I’m playing Today on repeat until the festival. Alternately if they’re not than I’m listening to I Don’t Wanna Be Me by Type O Negative in a similar fashion for dramatic effect.
Also because it isn’t a phase dad.

I wouldn't consider Smashing Pumpkins too big for Sasquatch. A few years back I saw them play the Wilma in Missoula after they cancelled a Vancouver show for rumored lack of ticket sales. That being said, they are great live, and I would love a chancey chance the chiggity champ of champion chancellors to check them out again. They played a classics set then Oceania in full. I was a big fan up until Mellon Collie, but they kind of lost me after that. I did enjoy Oceania when it came out.

What is the WaMu theatre like for a show? I see Jack White is playing there and it's General Admission (which seems weird for a "theatre"). Any advice for someone going if I end up with tickets?

Minus the Bear announced a tour that had a June Seattle date, not that I would expect them on a recent Sasquatch lineup.
Japanese Breakfast, whose album Psychopomp (2016) was stellar, are also touring with Belle and Sebastian and put out a 2017 album that I just found out about. Would be a great addition.
Edit for bonus info: Childish Gambino has signed a new contract with RCA and has rumors of new music coming later this year. I’m doubtful a tour is in his cards right now, but a boy can certainly continue to dream.

What about Kaleo? Huge gap in the schedule from March (Lollapalooza Brazil) to June (Rock Am Ring Festival in Germany). Looks highly likely. The only argument against them playing is the random 4 stop Western Canada tour they have in late June. If they were playing Sasquatch, those 4 stops would make way more sense in May. www.officialkaleo.com/tour

Plus, like you pointed out, it wouldn't make much sense for them to play Sasquatch then for to Germany for three weeks before coming back to western Canada.

It's just a single show in Germany at Rock Am Ring from what I can tell, but your point still stands. In my opinion their tour is already really messy... South America, Month off, Germany for a single show, 3 weeks off, Western Canada. So what's another couple flights to fit in Sasquatch and make it messier?
Edit: 2 shows in Germany. Looks like Rock Am Ring and Rock im Park have a Leeds and Reading thing going on where it's 2 festivals in one weekend?

I just skimmed the dates and saw Germany several times (not sure when they have three days with each day twice) and misread the 23rd as being Germany too, so I took that as they were in Germany until the 23rd. Either way, they're certainly possible but I don't see anything that would lead me to call them any more than that.

I caught the premier of the new M.I.A documentary and they use footage from her at Sasquatch. Definitely brought a small tear to my eye.
No way she'd make an appearance this year, but a boy can dream.

Haven’t actively listened to them in years but had a big phase back in the day. That’s probably one of the best legacy acts from that era that we could ask for, just a tier below Pearl Jam

Tycho playing a show in Spokane and skipping Seattle in May and staying on the west coast areas makes me wonder if they will show up again. *Paging chubbystackz* You must have skipped shitpost pages 111-117, jk I'M SRSLY PRAYING to Sasquatch Jesus. Also I hope Sasquatch J is there this year.

Good morning. In less than an hour, posters from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest online battle in this history of the internet. Internet -- that word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps its fate that today is a few days after the bullshit 21 Pilots announcement anniversary, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution -- but from annihilation. We're fighting for our right to live, to exist. And should we win the day, Sasquatch will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today, we celebrate.... Profits?
I dunno the end really needs some work. Where are we going with this thing?

WaMu Theater? More like WaMu warehouse with a curtain. My advice is don't go there unless Portishead are playing.

Is it the DJs fault for lip syncing, or my fault for believing it?
Regardless, Chromeo will probably be doing a live Karaoke set this year.

The shows there are generally GA, yes. It is not really a theater, more of a big warehouse-like space as burrito said but in my experience the sound is fine if you get up close. If you’re too far back, it will sound bad but if you wanna see the act, just do it and plan on getting into the pit

Maybe someone who is knowledgeable on the subject can weigh in, but isn’t this generally the case with all big indoor venues, sound wise? For example, I’ve thought the sound was good at key arena being up close to the stage but the further away you get, the shittier it is. I hate when a band I like gets booked at a shitty venue as much as the next guy, but all it really means is you gotta put in a bit more effort to get the most out of it
