Another cool indie band from Seattle.

General Info
Members: Tom Eddy (vocals and guitar, also in the Dip), Jarred Katz (drums), Mark Hunter (bass) and Reed Juenger
Biography: Beat Connection are an indie-electronic band from Seattle that was created in 2008 by two UW graduates Reed Juenger and Jordan Koplowitz before Kolpowitz left the band and Tom, Jarred and Mark joined. Since then, they've put out two albums (that I know of) full of great feel good, dancey tracks. This winter, they completed an impressive North American Tour with 33 dates proving that they are definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Physical Reaction/Live Show
Their live show is pretty awesome featuring a mix between their slower songs that make you feel super peaceful which switch into their more upbeat stuff that gets you dancing and thoroughly enjoying yourself. I've been to about three of their shows, and each time I had enough space to dance with my friends and have a good time. Their set does benefit from some lights, but with their lower billing I would expect them in the late afternoon on the Bigfoot or possibly sunset at La Chupacabra.
Interesting Facts
Their name 'Beat Connection' is a direct reference to the LCD Soundsystem song of the same name. This makes me very happy.
Personal Notes
I actaully discovered Beat Connection back in 2012 solely because a family friend was dating the lead singer from the band. I met the guy at a party (super nice dude) and decided to go to one of their concerts. It was at Neumos, they put on a great show and I've been a fan ever since. Funny story: Odesza was actually opening for BeatConnection and that Neumos show was their second show ever. I barely even noticed their set as I was most blown away by the second opener Sorne. Now it's 4 years later and Odesza is headlining major fests. Anyways, I chose Beat Connection not because they're my most anticipated set but because I thought I had some unique information to share and I like them a lot.
