I don't think Sasquatch would ever publicly address Internet rumors, but they have made two Facebook posts in the last two days both specifically referencing 2017. So I think that's their way of putting the rumors to rest, at least for now. They are definitely not canceling right now, but you can bet they are taking a hard look at what worked and what didn't to help avoid a repeat of this year. I see them possibly cutting back to three days again to help bring the cost down, but that's pure speculation on my part.
Edit: Just to clarify re: avoiding a repeat of this year, I think this was the best year yet, but I'm sure the people who balance the books don't agree with me.

AZ said he's already working on the details for 2017, and that he's "already fucking stooooked!"

What are the chances of single day passes coming back? I'll always be a weekend warrior at Sasquatch, but would that have hurt them or helped them in some way?

The problem with single day passes is once one day sells out, you can no longer sell whole weekend passes. On the other hand, once it became clear that this year wasn't going to sell out, I feel like day passes could have saved the day (literally) for The Cure at least. I think there is a good chance they will consider bringing them back next year if sales are slow again. I'm not involved in the Zacks-LiveNation talks at all, but I imagine all ideas are on the table at this point.

Yeah, especially some days seem to have a "feel" with them. Like this year that would have gone Houndmouth>Saint Motel>Frightened Rabbit>Alabama Shakes>Cure and last year that had Ab Soul>Schoolboy Q>RTJ>Kendrick

My only thought is that it's an easy way to recoup funds. $120 to $150 USD to see Sunday's lineup ( if wind conditions allowed ) seems reasonable. You could argue the price point but have a late run fire sale on bands primarily consisting of single day passes and a little fee for day parking seems reasonable. I recognize that this sounds like additional price gouging, and the numbers end would definitely have to be negotiated, but the concept in my eyes seems believable and would generate with the low attendance. It would also let them boast total attendance throughout the festival which would be a prettier number than the supposed 55% attendance as a definitive number.

I feel like day passes would detract from the community feeling that Sasquatch has but if it can save Sasquatch, I would be chill with it.

I feel like they are conflicted with selling day passes because of how far everything would be for non-campers. It would cause a headache for camping security/offices and the lack of parking spaces in the day lot would cause day people to go to camping etc

Just for the record, I arrived at the Sasquatch Box Office around 6pm Sunday evening and they charged me $250 for a wristband to the remainder of the fest.

Talked the dude from Preoccupations/Viet Cong tonight for a bit and he said he didn't like Sasquatch because he thought it was just a festival for EDM kids.

That's disappointing for long-time, faithful Sasquatch attendees, but not very surprising considering they played the same night Major Lazer headlined.

Did they just get there in time for their set and Major Lazer, because there wasn't a whole lot of "EDM" that day besides the headliner.
