I notice another Sasquatch Festival 2016 app in the Play store. I wonder what is up with that. There is a free and pro version for 99 cents. Somebodies unofficial version.

is it a new app or the one from 2015? The one I got from the Play store said 2016, and had the updated pirate logo, but the app itself is showing stuff from last year.

The app says Big Grams are playing 12:00-1:30 but the website says 12:30-1:30!

So weird. Everything looks updated until the app is installed, then it is the 2015 version. I guess I have to wait until it updates itself.

"Headlining" My heart skipped a beat (wishful) thinking Major Lazer had dropped, but they're still listed in the headlining spot on the website's schedule. If I worked for the Sasquatch internets and AZ asked me to post about Saturday's headliner I would have done the same thing and so would all of you.

In the past few months, I have gotten into: Chelsea Wolfe, Preoccupations, Son Little, Fauna Shade, Autolux, Sufjan (very late, I know), Todd Terje and Bully. The more research I do, the more this year's undercard (minus Sufjan) gives. Truly an incredibly strong undercard, especially in comparison to many other festivals. This combined with less ticket sales and longer sets will result in a much more intimate experience. I, personally, am glad that there is less emphasis on headliners and more emphasis on a quality undercard. #2moweekz

Just noticed that the app has Big Grams playing from 12:00-1:30, and the website has them playing from 12:30-1:30. Any idea which one we'll get?

When the schedule first came out, it had them playing 90 minutes but then they shortened it. I'm pretty sure that 12:30-1:30 is right; they just haven't updated the time on the app yet.

Here's Frightened Rabbit's setlist from Shaky Knees this past weekend. Nice career-spanning set of songs. I have to imagine Sasquatch will look pretty similar to this. I forgot where I ranked them on my Top 10 list, but I've been listening to pretty much them and The Cure exclusively this week, so I'd probably put them as my #2 of the weekend. Been waiting a long long time to see them.

I was just starting to come to terms with missing them and watching Savages instead, but I've been having serious second thoughts about that the last couple days.

I'm not a Savages fan, so this is actually one of the few completely unopposed sets of the weekend for me. I plan to be front and center with my Scottish flag in hand.
I made that setlist into a Spotify playlist, and god damn. It's a pretty perfect flowing choice of songs. Consider me pumped.

I think I'm going to have to check out some Frightened Rabbit live footage before I make my final decision. I think I like their recorded material more, but the intensity of Savages' live show has me leaning toward them. It might come down to the mood I'm in at the moment before they start playing.

I'm getting really stoked to catch Tacocat. My friend just saw them in Europe and said they were kick ass.

I'm getting really stoked to catch Tacocat. My friend just saw them in Europe and said they were kick ass. I caught their 1:00 Yeti set last year (two years ago?) and it was an absolute blast. After they finished, Party in the USA came on the PA and rather than help the rest of the band break down their gear, the drummer just put her hands in the air and led the crowd in an impromptu Miley Cyrus dance party. It was one of the highlights of the whole weekend for me.
