Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but isn't bumbershoot ran by AEG now? LCD is playing a bunch of AEG festivals, I know it's a long shot but does anyone think there is a chance? I feel like the caliber of headliners last year was bigger than ever before. Interestingly enough, it looks like the only AEG festival so far with LCD on it's lineup is Coachella. I thought I read somewhere that they were booking multiple events through them.

If I have to see LCD Soundsystem in motherfucking Key Arena I will burn that motherfucking place to the motherfucking ground.
And by that I mean buy a ticket like a sheeple. Because I'm weak.

Is it insane to still be holding out hope for a late LCD add? I would think if they added them, the fest would sell out immediately... maybe they just don't have the money. Maybe its delusional or denial to be holding out hope..but since LCD hasn't released full tour dates, and aren't booked Squatch weekend from what I can tell, so its still technically possible...however unlikely. I wonder if the cost of booking them exceeds the profit they would make by a sell-out. As an aside, I would think that if their 2010 set was as amazing for them as it was for us, LCD would want to come back!
They did add SK late last year, and added Elvis Costello late a few years before that.. seems like they need to do something!

Honestly until Pemberton and Squamish release a lineup I don't think there's much Sasquatch can do to improve sales. I can basically promise you that any Canadians (which, as we've discussed, make up a huge amount of Sasquatch attendees) that are not over the moon with this lineup will hold out for something closer to home and priced in Canadian dollars. Squamish will likely snag the radio crowd if they continue with lineups like Drake/Mumford/Sam Smith and Pemberton just needs to put out a comparable lineup (and IMO they have beaten Sasquatch the last two years) and that will soak up a lot of the would be Sasquatch crowd since it's basically half the price once you factor in the exchange rate.
Unless Pemberton totally shits the bed on their lineup I think Sasquatch is going to be pretty under attended this year. That being said I'm pretty excited about that because my favourite festival ever was Pemberton 2014 and that was basically half sold and I was also very excited for an undersold Julysquatch until they cancelled it (neverforget).
Less people generally makes for a better festival experience in my books. It's not great for the long term health of the festival but an established fest like Sasquatch probably has some wiggle room for a couple bad years. They just need to adjust their expectations a little next year and price accordingly. I don't think they actually need to charge the price they are charging, they just thought they could get away with it. Now that they've realized they can't hopefully they bring prices down to levels more in line with comparable festivals in the area.

Now that they've realized they can't hopefully they bring prices down to levels more in line with comparable festivals in the area. This right here. It's really just basic economics, the law of supply and demand. In 2013, demand far exceeded supply. Jive Nation responded by trying to increase supply (Julysquatch, hashtag Never Forget). When that failed, economics dictated that they raise prices to reduce demand to match the supply. Now that supply exceeds demand (I.e. the festival doesn't sell out), they are left with a choice: either attempt to increase demand by booking a more expensive lineup and risking losing more money (high risk, high yield) or by lowering prices and and making less profit (low risk, low yield). As unlikely as it seems, I believe a slight decrease in ticket price is the way they will go next year, especially if the Canadian dollar stays so weak. Either way works out better for us as consumers.

And don't count on camping being included again. As unpopular as it was, I believe their line about camping charges being to increase more efficient use of camping space. I had to camp in day parking in 2014 because District 9 and overflow were both full, so I kind of get where they're coming from there.

Yeah I'm totally fine with them charging per car for camping. Pre 2011 we packed 4 people (I even think 5 one year) into a Subaru station wagon because it was cheaper that way. With camping being included you were almost encouraged to bring more cars because it didn't cost anything extra (except for gas) and you got more space with more cars.
What I'm not ok with is charging per car and still charging the same or more for the festival ticket.
It will be interesting to see if they knock ticket prices down a little next year. Doing so would basically admit they have been over charging but I don't really think they have much of a choice if competing festivals continue to deliver good lineups at lower prices.

The day by day lineup on the website has gone goofy. Maybe they're going to add someone soon??
Also, digging Bayonne.

Sasquatch's site is offline. Possibly prepping for an add tomorrow? Last year, the last Monday of February started a string of steady and daily adds so I wouldn't be surprised if we start getting treated tomorrow, seeing as it will be the last Monday of February.

I'm not seeing the site as offline, but I do see the day - by -day lineup looking particularly wonky now on Saturday. Fingers crossed for some additions given these changes!

Chet Faker is currently my chief executive in charge of smooth sexy jams. I remember checking him out briefly last time he played and not really feeling him, but I'm feeling the shit out of him right now.

I still think there is the possibility of a Bon Iver add. They have not released their US Tour dates yet.

Not sure about Ruler headlining over The Cure on Sunday, though.

I still think there is the possibility of a Bon Iver add. They have not released their US Tour dates yet. Good god this would make me happy. That 2012 set is one of my favorite Sasquatch moments ever. I'm not convinced that this will happen though, they told the media when they released their Asia tour dates that they were only going "because they had never been", which seems to contradict the idea of a full tour.
