If I don't get some bong chops with beartrap at Sasquatch this year I might as well stop going.

Nice! I haven't had a chance to see them yet. Only listened to their album a few times when it was streaming pre-release but I remember liking it. I am assuming you saw their live show unless you were just chillin' with them randomly. Good live show? Saw them in my college town in one of the best venues for pure sound you can get in WA, and they were fucking amazing. They're SO FUCKING LOUD AND HEAVY. They really create a full experience and do some interesting rearranging from their album. Fuck yeah! Loud, heavy, interesting rearrangements...you are speaking my language.

I feel like Cage the Elephant might be here. They have a new album coming out next month. They are playing Deck the Hall Ball in December though...

Over the past 5 years, there has always been at least one artist who has played Sasquatch after playing DTHB the previous December: Foals (2014), The Lumineers (2013), Mumford & Sons (2012), Grouplove (2012), Sleigh Bells (2011), and Vampire Weekend (2010). And to update this list, Royal Blood played Sasquatch 2015 after DTHB 2014. I think Cage the Elephant, Alabama Shakes, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, and Deep Sea Diver are the artists most likely to cross over this year.

Whattup. A little birdy told me The Cure is not a thing but I don't believe the birdy. I think we've definitely learned by now that even having a direct line to AZ himself means absolutely nothing when it comes to lineup information. It was pretty cool of him to humor us last year with the numbers game from different festivals, but he's never disclosed specific artist information to us before any public announcements. Regardless of whether or not The Cure is playing (my bet is that they are), he isn't going to give away a headliner 3 months before the lineup comes out. If he were to say something like "you never know," or "anything is possible," like he has with random names in the past, it would almost certainly come across as a "yes" in this case.

I also want to add, that the Twilight Sad has interacted in some way with every tweet I have ever tweeted to them (upwards of a hundred, lifetime) and they did not interact at all with my tweet that asked if I'd see them at the gorge. Just a note.

If my dream last night is any indication, M83 will certainly be there.

The night before last, I had a dream that Trent Reznor was performing on the Bigfoot in the daylight to a crowd of about 20 people and he came down to the security rail and chatted with me for a bit. So there's that.

So there's that. Speaking of Trent Reznor (ok maybe this connection is a bit of a stretch but Reznor has cited Prong as an influence in his career), PRONG is playing at The Venue in Vancouver May 29th. They also just released an album of all covers which would be fun to see them dabble in. Prong at Sasquatch covering Sisters of Mercy? Yes please.
