This speculation has exhausted itself. Sasquatch does not have some super secret "gotcha" worst-case scenario plan where it's employees are working overtime hitting the refresh button on the Pemberton lineup page, with a pile of game changing artists in their back pockets just waiting to be unleashed on the lineup IN THE OFF CHANCE that they decide that they are jealous of Pemberton's lineup and need to one-up them. I don't remember who came up with this idea, but it's ridiculous and has been from the start. Yeah, I agree. It's tiring too! I'm happy with the lineup and I just want the schedule to be released. Edit: I will say that it was I that was probably spear heading this rumor/speculation. So sorry (?) Haha it's all good dude! I think I came across as a bit of a dick with that post, and for that I apologize.

Shipping notifications for the wristbands should be coming early next week right? I think last years email came in on the 10th and arrived mid-April. They usually have the lineup out before then correct?

I think the idea that Sasquatch has been saving up some adds is pretty reasonable. If they slowly churn out a couple a week and maybe a bigger one or two in there then it doesn't do much to generate any buzz which they seem to need. However if they save em up and release 15 all at once and there's a couple subheadliner sized acts in there, coupled with the fact that their major competition just release a pretty poor lineup (IMO), it might be able to give them a bit of a poop.
It's reasonable to assume that people in the area that only attend one festival per year were waiting for the Pemberton lineup, and if they didn't like that lineup, a nice chunk of additions could remind them about Sasquatch.
(all that being said I still think the major issue Sasquatch has is the price and the poor Canadian dollar, none of which will be changed by some additions or the release of the Pemberton lineup)

If this is true than I can officially change my avatar cause I was behind this idea almost to the point of foolishness. Hope there were some decent truth turds that came out my mouth.

For the record, I've only ever been against the speculation that the reason they're withholding artists is because of a "Pemberton standoff." Late adds have always been a part of the lineup process for Sasquatch. I fully expect at least a couple more. I also wouldn't be surprised if we don't get more than 1 or 2, if any at all, since this has been sort of a weird year for Sasquatch so far.

Yeah I agree with ya Pea, if they add only a couple I wouldn't be surprised if they cut the Uranus stage this year and had 4 stages. I remember that was a whispered rumor. Have they announced any artists on Uranus though? I could be totally ignorant of that.

Charge more, sell less, and book less. I'm no business major, but if I had to take a sarcastic stab at marketing I would presume this isn't a very strategy. I'm not expecting major late additions, perhaps just a couple artists that could shake things up in the 2-5pm category on the Bigfoot.

If you ignore the top line, that's a pretty solid lineup. Is "Barnes Courtney" supposed to be Courtney Barnett or I am missing something there?

Oh man. This is surprisingly full. RIP THIS BOARD SPECULATING MACKLEMORE WILL PLAY AT SASQUATCH THIS YEAR! I can read this sentence two ways and one of them terrifies me. Me likes this lineup though, the headliners top line can enjoy the keyed arena while I'm outside rocking out.

Even if you don't like the top row they've got Macklemore who is negligibly the largest local hip hop act, Death Cab who is another large local artist, and Kygo who is one of the biggest electronic acts currently. After that is a tidal wave of good gets and big names within their respective genres. AEG doesn't mess about with these lineups. I think that this spells the end of Sasquatch ticket sales.
