I think we all agree that standing behind someone who holds up their phone during a set is frankly sucks. with the popularity of selfie sticks, is this just going to make the problem worse?

I appreciate the pun in the title, even more so if unintentional.

Honestly I see the yellow shirts telling people with those sticks to leave them at the gate or take them back to camp because they could potentially be used as "weapons"

that's what I was hoping, I know I'm a total noob here but it seems like there is some of you who talk with snacks. maybe this is something that could passed on as a concern? would really love if the sasquatch facebook page did an educational video about not holding your phone up for the whole set...

Considering I was able to sumggle in a 5 liter bag of wine last year, even if they are against the rules people will still bring them in.

People bring all sorts of totems on sticks and giant Steve Brule heads in, so I don't see security cracking down too much on selfie sticks. Personally, I think having the phones higher in the air would be better since I can see under it more easily.

I like it, a psa type video meant to shame those who use those stupid things. Not to mention the fact that if you are a renob that uses one of those and get pooped and your phone gets dislodged or you lose your grip, it is a good way to get your phone stepped on/broken.

I've kind of always wanted to bring a laser and just shoot the cell screens of people holding up their phones but then i figured I would just spend my time doing that instead of watching the set. maybe they could give a security guard a spot at the sound booth with a higher powered "laser"
clearly spent too much time thinking about this.

How about the giant stupid fucking Camera that's on an arm rotating around showing the crowd. We already know how awesome everything is at Sasquatch, we don't need to watch it on a screen and take up a quarter of the inner circle of the maine stage....
