How do you think they'll even be able to do the camping pass? Think of it this way. In the past couple years camping and wristbands are one in the same. So you don't need to check people who are camping where other than in premier/gold. Does that mean they'll be going to a wristband system for camping? That before you enter the campgrounds they'll be checking wrists?

The shipping options for the camping pass made it seem like it will be a paper ticket. It makes sense because they don't know how many people will be in the vehicle until you get there and they're not just gonna send out 6 wristbands to everyone who ordered a camping pass. I think there will be a paper ticket that they will take at the entrance to the campground and give out the paper drinking age type wristbands to everyone in the vehicle.

This isn't the first year that Sasquatch has charged for general camping. I don't think it was until 2011 or 2012 that general camping became part of the festival ticket purchase price. As far as how it will work, it will work like it had in years past except in addition to handing the gate attendant a camping pass (which is just a separate printed ticket) you and up to five additional persons in your vehicle will also have to show a festival wristband. Back in the early years you were allowed to enter the campgrounds even if you weren't actually attending the musical component of the festival. Requiring campers to be actual festival attendees may be an attempt at limiting the amount of Phish Heads harassing people to buy shitty glass and veggie burritos.
From Live Nations website.
"For more information on The Gorge Campground - visit GORGECAMPING.COM.
There is a strict limit of 6 people per camp site. If you're party is larger than 6 people, please purchase the proper number of campsites. ALL PATRONS ENTERING THE CAMPGROUND MUST HAVE A FESTIVAL WRISTBAND.
Vehicles entering campground can not be larger than 40 feet. If you wish to tow an additional vehicle, you may be required to purchase an additional camp site.
For Campground hours, please review the EVENT INFO tab. DELIVERY DELAY: TICKETS WILL NOT BE DELIVERED UNTIL AFTER APRIL 2015"

Yes, this is all what I've expected very similar to the non-sasquatch gorge shows. However, how do you supposed they prevent people from being dropped off, as an example, 24 hour parking, and then just walking into the campgrounds to camp?
After sasquatch has started that is.

What are they going to sleep in? As long as they're not driving in and setting up their own camp, I don't think anyone would care. The whole point of charging separately for camping was to cut down on the number of vehicles in the campground, so a couple people choosing to walk in with the clothes on their backs and pass out on the ground won't make much difference.

assigned camping, they already have the names of everyone going and will assign camping much like teachers assign seating.

Barry Zito has been invited to camp. Do you think he'll bring a car or just try to walk through the gates? Hopefully he has at least one wristband. What time do the campgrounds open? Not having a wristband might be troublesome.

With the exception of driving in for the first time, have any of you ever had your wristbands checked in the campground? You'll drive in, give them the ticket at the gate for the car and that will be that. They aren't going to check 25000 wristbands every night for people coming back to the campground.

I feel like festival wristbands aren't going to be checked well enough, and you are going to get more people just there to sell shit and steal. I have pretty much stuck to prego camping for the last few years, but I was under the impression that the all inclusive ticket actually cleaned up some of this stuff. No matter what they say as an excuse, they are definitely cashing in on this.

I've found it was about 50/50. Even then as long as you aren't physically in a car they don't care. If someone dropped you at the gates with a backpack and a tent I'm 95% sure you could just walk right in and join your friends that are already in camping.
