I would be ok with them booking a few of the acts again, but it just seems lazy. Since they had poor attendance last year I wouldn't be surprised if they try to switch things up a little.
Squamish seems to be going the pop route (especially if they did book Sam Smith) so hopefully that's out for them. More hip hop could work, and I really hope it would be Kanye over Drake. He is due around here, I think he cancelled 2, maybe 3 times in the last couple years? Also I enjoyed his set at Life is Beautiful last year.
Without checking tour dates at all because I'm lazy I'll say the Strokes and the Black Keys are possible. Maybe Nas and/or Wu Tang?
We'll find out soon enough I guess.

I definitely see Squamish as the most pop-friendly festival so if it's between Drake and Kanye, they're taking Drake. I would be fine with Drake at Pemberton though as long as Squamish doesn't get Kanye. Squamish is one festival I can never make due to timing so they are NOT allowed to get Kanye if I can't go. The Strokes haven't announced any dates outside of May, and none of those dates are in the region. If they play more shows in North America (and some are suggesting that they might be playing Lollapalooza and Osheaga), then I could definitely Pemberton (or maybe Squamish) landing them. I also haven't checked Black Keys dates and I don't really care to, but I think they're always a default possibility for North American festivals. Just based on last year's lineup, Nas seems like somebody that Pemberton would definitely go after. I think he would be a great fit as well. I know there have been several complaints from boarders about Wu-Tang performances, but I would love to see them at Pemberton and they seem like another good fit. Anyways, I agree with your assessments.

Same weekend as Pemberton. Last year a handful of acts played Pemberton and Pitchfork so it's definitely possible we see a few of these on the lineup.

If Pemberton gets Todd Terje and Sasquatch didn't, I will be so pissed.

Passion Pit seem like a strong possibility. They just announced a tour with no Vancouver shows. They're playing Wayhome across the country in Toronto the weekend after. They're also playing BUKU in March, which is also organized by Huka Entertainment.

Not a word from the festival's Twitter account for a few days now... Please don't let this turn into last year again

Eight days in a row with no words at all from the festival. Usually they reply to tweets and Facebook comments every day. What is going on?

Some guy on the Coachella boards says:
The Avett Brothers Bassnectar Death Cab for Cutie Jane's Addiction Passion Pit Phish chune-Yards
and of course absolutely nothing to back this up. But I just want something to talk about in relation to this festival so whatever.

The guy flat out said they were just predictions. He didn't claim any inside knowledge.

His post after that made it seem like he knew things, though.

My Morning Jacket is playing everywhere but the PNW this year with a couple weeks off at the beginning of July. I think this makes them somewhat likely for Pemberton.

Project Pabst (July 17-19 in Portland) has announced their lineup release for Tuesday, March 10. If Pemberton is July 16-19 not too far from Portland, I imagine they'll share some acts and maybe a lineup release date.
