I've never been a big fan, but this has been in my rotation since it was released. It's also helped me warm up to their other material a little more.
The Decemberists - What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World

Dat Deac.
He took all the best parts from the last three albums and brewed up a super-duper stew.

Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth - S/T So this one's pretty good, eh? I saw them open for Eyehategod a few years ago and I've been down with Tad since 8-Way Santa, but I haven't gotten around to listening to this yet.

Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth - S/T So this one's pretty good, eh? I saw them open for Eyehategod a few years ago and I've been down with Tad since 8-Way Santa, but I haven't gotten around to listening to this yet. I am a newbie when it comes to Tad. This is honestly the first album I have heard that he was involved with. My friend gave me a copy of the promo CD he had and it has been in my car ever since. Definitely going to purchase a vinyl copy once it comes out. It is a creeper of an album. The first time through I wasn't sure if I loved it or not. The deep growling vocals and sludgy-doomy music sort of made it background music. However, I realized that I had listened to the thing about 20 times in the last couple of weeks and it gets better with each listen. It really hooked me and I am super stoked to go backwards through Tad's discography. They announced that they are adding a second guitarist for their upcoming tour. They play in Seattle on 4/18 at Columbia City Theater with Grenades and Lesbian. I am hoping I can swing that but I am pretty sure it will be a no-go due to baby arrival in that general time frame.
