I thought the entirety of July was going to be one large Kraftwerk show.

Looks WAY more fun than a guy standing behind a table pressing buttons and turning knobs

you can't hear the drums or other instruments over the bleepy bloopy womp womp anyway. Except...the drums are mic'd. Thanks to this cool new thing called amplification, all sorts of shit is supposed to be possible at concerts now.

There...Are...Bands playing... After...Kraftwerk? I don't get it. They're actually headlining all three days, and then every day after that, and the Arcade Fire show.

Looks WAY more fun than a guy standing behind a table pressing buttons and turning knobs That's the exact video I was talking about. Not much point in having a drummer hit drums at the exact same time that the electronic noises are making beats. I'm just saying, a lot of pointless talk about whether one group is going to have their stand-in musicians, when by the time they play, everyone's minds will be blown by Kraftwerk, and there will probably be something else cool going on. I imagine after Kraftwerk having a similar reaction to Bloody Beetroots as I did when Tame Impala's amazing set ended last year. I walked over to Empire of the Sun, saw their BS gimmick for one song, and quickly realized nothing that night would beat Tame Impala and went on my merry way to the camp and my not $12 beer.

You spelled Sigur Ros wrong.

Ok...ok...I'm sure Sigur Ros was much better than Empire of the Sun as well. Saw a couple songs and it looked awesome, just more of a Tame Impala fan.

That one-two punch of Sigur Ros and Tame Impala was too much.

I think my prior post about what happened during Sigur Ros is accurate and the fact that you think that Lame Impala could get even near to the magic that happened during Sigur Ros means that only one thing needs to get posted.

I'm in the camp that Tame Impala was better than Sigur Ros. Sigur Ros was pretty good, and I watched almost all of it, but Tame Impala was better.

It's weird. I recognize these words. I know their meanings individually, but I have no idea what this phrase means.

Davers and I saw both shows. We both have the opinion that Tame Impala was better than Sigur Ros on that night. "Better" may mean "more of the vibe we were looking for at that specific time" (I don't know, I can't speak for Davers). All you haters appear to not have seen Tame Impala's set at all. So, not sure how we would be wrong on this subject. I don't think you are wrong for liking Sigur Ros' set.
