It is fucking stupid to let Pitchfork dictate your opinion of a live Knife performance before it has ever even been performed on this continent. Shut the fuck up with this jazzercise shit. It's The Fucking Knife. They are one of the best things going anywhere in the world right now. And have you ever seen them say, do or record anything that wasn't thoroughly considered and specifically designed to elicit the exact feeling that they want you to have? So what if a bunch of drunk chunderheads at a European festival didn't get to have their dance party.
They hardly ever play shows, they hardly ever release albums, but when they do they confound all expectations and that is what makes them The Knife. I don't see the problem.

I finally went out and watched several videos from their European Shaking the Habitual shows, and for the most part I saw plenty of live music. Goes to show you need to do some research before you believe what you read on the internet.

Honestly, I don't know how you don't go to The Knife regardless of what their live show is like. It'll be a Goddamn spectacle regardless.

Maybe they'll be up against fucking of Montreal on the Wookie stage. People who object to The Knife's use of goofy costumes and interpretive dancing will undoubtedly find a safe haven there.

I would cry if I had to choose. Is it even really a choice, though? The Knife tour basically never, and Kevin Barnes is always up in everybody's biz-nass.
