I edited my post while you were posting that, but yeah, I'm definitely at least going to split it. My girlfriend is a Costello fan so I'm sure we'll check it out for a little while and see how it goes.

I was excited for Elvis Costello, but a friend told me they were kind of miserable live so I'm doubtful at the moment. I'm a big Baths fan so that one is a no brainer for me though. I'll probably end up splitting those two because the girlfriend is a Costello fan. As for the first one, I've got no real input besides the fact that I'll probably end up seeing BRMC because I care even less about the other two. Those sum up my feelings on the whole thing pretty well..Thank you for the input... I am meandering my way through the new baths album and if it is indicative of the set we are going to get, I'm leaning in a big way towards them... I'm kinda where you're at on the first conflict... I don't really care that much about any of the bands playin then but have picked BRMC just as something to do. Or I might watch Nancy and Beth. But for your second conflict: I highly suggest you start plowing your way through Costello's catalogue and get real familiar! I think you'd feel like a fool later passing up the chance to see him. And at the very least, start there and if his set is really doing nothing for you, then wander over to Baths. But I for one am thinking Costello's set will be fun party dancey times mixed with classic sing a long times. Thank you as well, I think that will be my plan for the evening...Make a playlist with the bands mentioned and see who comes out on top as far as the more interesting acts, and then when I meet up with the rest of my party to see where they stand...I definitely can get on board with the idea of catching "legacy" acts because you never know when we will get them in such a setting again... I guess I just need to familiarize myself some more with the acts that I don't have much experience with and to prepare myself to not get too close so if it ends up not being my cup of tea to move elsewhere... I welcome any and all other opinions, this matter is by no means settled....

nancy and beth are they a real act playing real chunes or are they just a gag band made up of a couple comedians... Both? Maybe? I'm really not sure myself. Also, Killer Mike really isn't "that kind of hip-hop". He's actually a pretty intellectual dude, he just hides it behind heavy ass gangsta beats. Check out the track Willie Burke Sherwood for some insight into why. R.A.P. Music was one of the top 5 rap/hip-hop albums of 2012, IMHO.

The first conflict doesn't have an answer, just take a nap or something. There are worse thing you could do than nap to Kiwanuka. Or you could stash beers in the parking lot and drink cheap beer during that time.
I'd heavily suggest seeing Costello if you don't have any strong feelings about the others. I love baths and killer mike but Costello is a legend. If it helps, I saw baths last weekend and it didn't really sound like the new album much. Still a good show but not amazing.

Naps in the grass are excellent and will probably be the best course of action especially on the third day(counting thursday)... I'm glad to hear your opinion about Baths, it's a bummer that it wasn't amazing enough to suggest over the other two options...I have a feeling that it is going to come down to "do we want to sit on the hill, or hang at the fringes of the dance tent to get ready to move over and get good spots for grimes(provided she shows)... Thanks for the heads up...

Nancy and Beth are awesome (in my opinion)! Two ladies (one of whom is a comedian) playing jazzy bluesy songs. I really enjoy them, but they might just be my particular cup of tea. Music, not comedy.

I also have no idea if I'll be at them or BRMC though. On one of my first Sasquatch trips we forgot to bring music for the ride down and only had five CDs for the loooong drive. Baby 81 was one and now it's cemented in Sasquatch history, so I'd love to see them at the gorge. Hey, Arctic Monkeys was another! Cool beans. This has been weenie talks to herself through the medium of the Internet.

Despite being the only time I've seen him, I can confidently say that something about the ambiance of the dust, wind, lighting, and color-changing palm trees probably helped make this the best FJM show that will ever take place. Regardless, this should give you a great idea of just how entertaining he is live: Those trees are the most amazing thing I've ever seen

Actually, speaking of rappers, I was gonna put this out there: I'm thinking that it's very likely Earl Sweat will be performing with other members of Odd Future - Tyler or Domo, I'd guess. To date I don't believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that he's ever performed without at least one other member of OFWGKTA, even at his solo shows. I don't see him choosing Sasquatch as the place to cut his teeth.
Plus, having one of those two there would fatten up his catalogue substantially.

I would bet money that Tyler shows up with him. I'd also like to believe deep down in my heart that Flying Lotus will be his DJ like at Coachella, but I know that won't happen.

Uh yea dude. Imagine looking at those things on psychedelics. Your life will change... That's how I felt about what the festival last year. Check out these pictures, it was totally surreal. I couldn't find a great picture, but this is pretty good. The entire mountainside was being lit up by huge shape/color changing lights, and every tree had a different color light illuminating the whole thing, walking around at night was crazy. Night time at one of the stages. Bonus photo of the fucking pool party, being there was just as good as the awesome scene at night. Yes, that's a set of funktion ones and a dj booth there.
