My friends and I were a little late getting organised and didn't expect a one day sellout, so we've missed out on getting tickets. I'm wondering what the best strategy for getting tickets at this stage is. Specifically, the questions I have are: - Is it likely that any more tickets will be officially released?
- When will tickets be sent out to those who have bought them officially? Or are they self-printable ones?
- What form will tickets that are sent out take? Wristbands? Physical tickets that you exchange for wristbands at the festival?
- Were I to buy a ticket off somewhere like stubhub or craigslist right now, what exactly would I be paying for? An email confirmation? The word of the person I buy from that they will change the address the ticket is to be sent to, or that they will send me the ticket once they receive it?
- When should I start looking to buy, and where should I buy from?
I'm fairly confident that if I wait until closer to the date, that I'll be able to buy tickets off someone for close to face value, but I really want the peace of mind of having them secured as early as possible. Any tips or reassurance would be appreciated.

For probably the 7th time I've posted this... In 2011 tickets sold out pretty fast (though not in a day) and everyone went nuts and paid hundreds over asking. Then, as the fest got closer prices slowly went down to the point where people were selling them for face value or in some cases even less. And because everyone loves proof here are what coachella ticket prices on stubhub looked like last year. Note how they just keep getting lower and lower and eventually some people got tickets for less than face value. If more tickets come out, they will go fast. They have released more in the past years. Wristbands will be mailed out in April. Stubhub is safe and you will get your money back if you don't get your wristband. Craigslist is a waste of time until they actually mail out wristbands. Is there a way we can make a page that new members have to read when signing up so we don't get 50 threads exactly like this one?

I only have tickets to the Maine Stage, because Katie Kate is my favorite band.

It wasn't a one day sellout. There was a presale from around Thanksgiving lasting until December 31st, and then another one from Wednesday through Friday of last week and it wasn't difficult to obtain the presale password. If I was in this situation I wouldn't even think about looking to buy until April when people start getting their wristbands in the mail.

Looks like the best strategy was to keep checking LiveNation every day like a loon.
