Rusko is booked higher than Aoki. Does anyone know when he is set to play? I bet Baauer plays prior to him on Friday.

I think Vampire Weekend and Rusko being on Bigfoot on Friday/Monday respectively could be an indication that they are going to run the Bigfoot stage until 1am every night of the festival this year. I just don't see both of them being relegated to a weird time slot on a stage they don't belong on.

Vampire Weekend just seems way too huge for the Bigfoot stage no matter what time they'd go on, I refuse to believe it until they officially publish the schedule. Their Sasquatch stage crowd last time was one of the largest I've ever seen. I had just seen another band before them up the hill and remember looking down and seeing a jam packed floor and a hill that was nearly full except for maybe 30 feet directly below the top. Trying to cram that many people into the Bigfoot area doesn't seem at all feasible.

I think from front to back, the Bigfoot stage has the same amount of space for viewing as the main stage does, it's just not on a sweet hill where it makes it easy to see. The crowd could go 3/4 of the way to the dance tent and fit way more people than the main stage unless I'm mistaken.

Well shit, what was it we've argued about in the past Wonk? Was it that Elvis wouldn't play or he wouldn't headline? It was about if he would headline. You said he would, and with a 7th billing, it appears he won't. I'll try to find the conversation later when I have more time. It was probalby in the headliner thread from a couple years ago. But if he somehow lands a headlining slot, and My Bloody Valentine is a late add, I'll leave the board in shame, never to be heard from again. That sounds about right, although I definitely conceded that he won't headline at some point (we've had this discussion multiple times over the years). I'm content with a 7th billing, seems about right to me.

Wonk will still find the post so he can super-prove he was right.

Saturday is going to be hell for me with conflicts. Sigur ros, the xx, bloc party, andrew bird, black rebel motorcycle club, bombino, empire of the sun, tame impala, devendra banhart, holy ghost, surfer blood, akron family, suuns, rose windows, totally enormous extinct dinosaurs, john talabot, nick offerman. Why must sasquatch do this to me. I finally start getting into the lineup and everything I want to see is on one day.

At the angle that photo was taken at, the main stage hill looks much bigger than it actually is.
In either case, I concede that the main stage does have a fair amount more space.
A guy I know who works at the festival "liked" a post of mine on facebook about the festival going until 1am every night. Every time I've posted predictions like that he has commented with semi-cryptic messages in reply if I was wrong, but has not done that this time.
Edit: I agree about Saturday, they totally stacked the entire day. Busiest day by far, but I'm most excited for it as well.

Preemptive shots fired before Wonk finds all of the ridiculous shit I said over the years: I added Elvis Costello & the Imposters, he announced tour but no PNW dates even though he lives in Vancouver. He could be a strong Possibility. I've had this argument with Sasquatch boarders every year I believe. Elvis Costello has no draw in the NW, there is no way he ever headlines. A subheadline is even unlikely. If he ever played the festival (which I don't think he ever will), it will be closing the second stage vs. a mainstream headliner on the same level of KOL/Muse/Killers.

The crowd could go 3/4 of the way to the dance tent and fit way more people than the main stage unless I'm mistaken. Check a Google Earth overhead shot. If you really stretch the area in which people would be standing to watch a band at the Bigfoot stage, there would be maybe half the space at best. Hell, the floor in front of the Sasquatch stage alone could fit most Bigfoot crowds. There would be thousands of people without a reasonable place to stand if they put a 5th billed band there. Really hope they're not dumb enough to do this.

Preemptive shots fired before Wonk finds all of the ridiculous shit I said over the years: I wasn't going to go looking for it actually. I thought earlier today, "In all my rants about how ridiculous Elvis Costello headlining is, there is a decent chance I said he would never be on the lineup." Either way, we've discussed this about ten times over the last five years, and the base of the disagreement was always about if he would headline.

Even though I was wrong, I'm never wrong. You aren't doing a very good job at convincing me I'm wrong. The only absolute statement quoted was , "Elvis Costello will never headline Sasquatch." "I think" and "unlikely" are not absolutes. I'm very careful about speaking in absolutes when I'm guessing. It was a good effort to cover his tail about being wrong.

I found one. Maybe I'll post more later, there's a bunch. oh yeah I forgot this was you that always argued this. I completely disagree, if Elvis and the imposters play I can't see them doing anything but headlining. A couple years ago he headlined Bumbershoot playing solo and having the imposters with him makes him a bigger draw

Oh, there's tons of comments of me saying foolish shit about this. I've been with you for the past year and a half assuming they'd never book him though. Doing it this way makes sense, wait for the show to sell out and then Snacks can book an act that he cares about that might not have a draw comparable to their cost. If nothing else, I'm just excited that all of the kids there to see Mumford are gonna get schooled in some good music.

I know, I did a search for Elvis Costello, and read many different posts about it. Elvis headlining was a classic board disagreement, second to My Bloody Valentine being the ultimate anti-Sasquatch band. Gloating was inevitable. I can't think of a solvable third classic board disagreement I've been in, because I usually just tell people they are stupid, which is impossible to prove over the internet.
It's good we got a chance to find out, because he's easily top five can't misses for me now. It's funny you mentioned Mumford & Sons, because that was part of one of my arguments three years ago about why Elvis isn't big enough to headline. Four months after anyone knew who Mumfords were, they sold out a 1,500 person venue locally in a day, and it took Elvis months to sell out a similar sized venue.
