Ladies and gentlemen, we are floating in space...
All I want in life's a little bit of love to take the pain away Getting strong today A giant step each day...
I've been told: "Only fools rush in" But I don't believe, I don't believe! I could still fall in love with you.
I will love you til I die And I will love you all the time So please put your sweet hand in mine And float in space and drift in time.
I will love you to death, I guess that's what you get And I don't know where we are all going to Love don't get stranger, it is what it is And I don't ikinow where we are all going to Everything happens today and that's what you get And I don't know where we are all going to
And all my time until I die, we'll float in space just You and I.

I just got this on vinyl in the mail last week and have been playing the shit out of it... Spiritualized may be my most anticipated band this year! (probably because I was late to the game on them though.. )

The first time I ever heard this song was one of my first ever E trips, and we listened to it on repeat for four hours, while waltzing and ripping open a duvet to play in the feathers. Every time I hear it now I get total acid flashbacks and feel that same feeling of love and warmth and happiness. No other song in the world comes close.

Schedule times are yet to be announced. I really hope Spiritualized will play at night, on one of the smaller stages. *starrrrzzzz*

That's awesome, weenie. The first time I ever hung out with Lucy, Tool had just released Vicarious prior to 10,000 Days coming out. I listened to it on repeat for hours while thinking it was the most unbelievable song I had ever heard. Then I spent the next 4 hours diving head first into a couch and laughing at a jar of jelly. That was such a great night! I still get a weird "flashback" moment when I hear that song as well.

Does anyone have an idea of what kind of set spiritualized will be playing? From what I can tell they have a pretty big discography.

Just listened to these guys for the first time thanks to the spotify playlist. They are AWESOME. Actually, this playlist has been a bit of a revelation. I'm super stoked about more band than I thought would be. Re Spiritualized: I love the immersion that the music forces you into.
It's going to be an epic squatch. Are'nt they all.....

I actually just learned about this band about 2 weeks before the lineup was announced and have been playing Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space on repeat ever since. Seeing them on the lineup made me feel like one of the cool kids.
Also, I'm back, bitches.

I found out about them from you guys. I've just been listening to Youtube stuff but really like it so far. Floating in Space and Soul on Fire are my two favorites so far. Any recommendation on an album?

I'd start with Pure Phase. It is magical. Then move on up to Ladies and Gentlemen, which is a pure classic. If you like that stuff then fill in the cracks. Also their live album is pretty dang amazing too!

These guys are a little too British for my taste.

A) Fuck you, and B) James just isn't your thing. Pretty much. I rarely enjoy British singers. I realize that sounds shallow, but unless you're the Beatles or Freddie Mercury or Jason Pierce I probably don't dig it. I would watch an instrumental James set, though.

I love James. Also a big fan of David Gray and Richard Ashcroft.

(probably because I was late to the game on them though.. ) late to the game or not, spiritualized doesn't come around here very often, so you're not the only one really looking forward to this set. I've been a fan for a long time and never seen them live. the royal albert hall double disc is the closest I've come...
