First EP entry of the year. Diplo's "Express Yourself" is off the fucking hook! He's going to absolutely destroy Block Party next month. YESSSSSSSS

New Purity Ring and Twin Shadow coming dangerously close to my list. A few more listens and I'll probably have to add them.

It doesn't come out until next week. I wasn't really big on his debut, but this new one is full of all kinds of awesome. Pitchfork just gave it an 8.6, so you know it has to be good.

Yeah, honestly I didn't really think his debut was all that special, but everyone seemed to love it. I guess I'll check this one out soon.

New Twin Shadow is fucking awesome. Finally listening to the last track right now (it usually takes a few spins for me to complete an album), and holy shit is it beautiful. Want me to add it to your list? I'm adding: Purity Ring - Shrines Twin Shadow - Confess Meiko - The Bright Side

Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel...
just clicked for me. Shit dude, "Werewolf" is one of the best songs she's ever made

New Twin Shadow is fucking awesome. Twin Shadow - Confess I almost bought this album yesterday because of the reviews I've heard for it, but I decided to listen to the full album first. I decided not to buy it after a good listen. Just didn't click.

Took me about three listens for it to click with me, and now it's absolutely one of my top favorites of 2012. I'd say give it another try dude!

I also added Daughn Gibson's "All Hell" to my list. One of the weirder and more interesting albums I've heard this year. I posted a couple songs in the Meow Playing Thread for FD to check out, but he either didn't see my post or hated the songs. Probably the latter I encourage anyone to check him out, though. Very awesome and unique sound.

Sigur Rós - Valtari
This baby isn't getting enough love. A grower for sure, I'm still enjoying it more upon each listen after at least 10 spins.

Still don't like that album as a whole.
I'll update the first page when I get home from this glorious Sounders match.

Probably the belt sander Dude, where in the hell did you hear about this guy? This album is phenomenal! Sorry I didn't get back sooner. Seriously, thank you! After checking out those Youtubes I immediately picked up the album and haven't been able to turn it off. My first album that I loved this year was Pop 1280's The Horror and it's strange how much All Hell sounds like the prequel to that album. "Tiffany Lou" into "A Young Girl's World" just sent me over the edge on this one. The Rhodes pee-anner on "A Young Girl's World" is so fucking awesome when it comes in.

Word up on the Daughn Gibson, Pea. It was pretty rad. Plus, I like how he spells Daughn. It's so pretentious that it's awesome.

Man...that put the biggest smile EVER on my face. I'm so happy you love it! I was really nervous recommending it to you, but my gut just kept telling me "FD would dig this!" over and over every time I listened to it. I regularly comb through the Coachella board's "New albums of 2012" type thread and stumbled upon someone mentioning it. The first couple songs I listened to actually immediately turned me off, but something about them kept making me thing there was something I was missing and needed to grasp. Really glad I stuck with it! I'll also go back and visit that Pop 1280 album now. I didn't care for that one either, but if you can draw some comparisons between the two I'd love to make that one click for me as well.

Port St. Willow - Holiday Wonderful. I've had this sitting on my desktop for over a week now. Listened briefly and forgot about it. I'll be giving it another spin right about...meow.
