Primavera has announced their first set of artists for 2012:
Björk Codeine Guided By Voices Jeff Mangum Neon Indian Other Lives Yo La Tengo
Any Sasquatch implications? Interesting to see that Jeff Mangum is doing a major outdoor festival.

Interesting to see that everyone here said he would never do a festival.

Interesting to see that everyone here said he would never do a festival. Well he's already done a few ATP's playing in a separately ticketed event so it's possible that's his plan. Otherwise, I will eat my words assuming he plays a giant outdoor stage

ATP and Primavera are much different than a Coachella or a Bonnaroo or a Lollapalooza or even a Sasquatch. My money's on that he will not be at any of those four.

I'm mildly surprised to see Bjork there because I thought she was only doing those residency-style performance blocks. Gives me hope for Sasquatch and/or Coachella.

Black Sabbath have announced today at 11:11 that they have reunited, and will be releasing a new album with a world tour to follow.

Callin' it:
New album will permanently tarnish the bands legacy. Fans will be outraged because for some reason they didn't realize going in that there is no conceivable way that Ozzy can deliver a performance worthy of the ticket price. After shows are sporadically canceled across the middle part of the country, Ozzy finally does himself in with a drug overdose in his dressing room in... oh, let's say Kansas City.

Also, I love me some Black Sabbath, but that just seems like a really bad idea. I think HG has a pretty accurate prediction.

Yeah, new Black Sabbath is pretty sketchy. I have a lot of respect for Ozzy, but his latest is far from his greatest. Maybe having Rick Rubin produce will help them. I'm just stoked to see Black Sabbath live again.

Yeah I doubt a new Black Sabbath album would be any good. It would be awesome to see them if they play a lot of material from Paranoid and Master of Reality once they tour.

I saw them at Ozzfest 04 and it was pretty much just a greatest hits set. After 30 minutes of staring at Iommi's weird fingers I got bored and left.
