I say you just roll with it and add dubstep flourishes to it.
Y'know throw some words like "The Drop" and "Bass" encased in lightning bolts.

I'm only kidding of course, I love my tattoos and they've grown to mean so much more than just Muse lyrics and symbols. They also remind me that I used to be crazy, and that's always a nice reminder. I'll listen to the album, probably even buy it, but I'm not going to countdown the days or anything. If there is anything I've learned about Muse is that they are fucking crazy, so who knows what this album is going to be like. Whatever is playing in that trailer is pretty awful though.

Total side note. I love the original nicknames we all got. Who ever was responsible for that way back when did a great job. Y'all have no idea how many random PM's I get from "King Of Herbs".

I love him, and I tend to always give him the benefit of the doubt. I've defended him a couple times to friends who said that his entire act is just a hamster ball gimmick with no substance.
That said, there's no denying he's getting harder and harder to defend.

Whatever. I saw the video. I don't know what the FUCK Badu and her sister THOUGHT they were going to do with that footage, but there's no way they altered it to look any different than what it actually was. Was the video stupid? Absolutely. Did she know what she was getting into? ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY.

Yeah that's tasteless. The video was cool until the glitter becomes blood and semen. Spoiler alert.

As a pretty big fan of Muse, I disapprove of that trailer. If the rest of the album is like that, they'll be replacing their original fans with high school kids. They were going solid until Black Holes in 2006 but their last album was a disappointing step down. Really hope they don't take another "step" in the wrong direction...

All I can say is the Muse/dubstep bullshit forever takes away from Muse fans the ability to claim that Muse wasn't trying their fucking damnedest to sound like Radiohead when they first started out, because now it is perfectly apparent that they're just gonna try to sound like whatever the fuck the kids are listening to.

Origin of Symmetry and Absolution are still pretty fantastic albums though...

I loved Showbiz when I was... what year was that, 1997? When I was sixteen? Yeah, there's a couple Muse songs I totally like, but they were written like fifteen years ago. There's no amount of nostalgia that can defend the Evil Festival Bot in that promotional video, though.
