I'm sure this is a lost cause, but I'll try anyways. I lost my compact digital camera late Saturday evening well after Kings of Leon finished playing, but still in the venue. It was a silver/gray Canon SD1000, with a black lens and a black circle around the lens. There was a 4GB memory card in it, and there were several pictures and a couple videos of Bon Iver, The Decemberists, Kings of Leon, Blind Pilot, Shearwater, etc. The very first picture on the memory card was of my friend (a female) in a motel room with her arms over her face.
I'm assuming that whoever has it (if anyone does) wants to keep the camera, since me checking the lost and found every few hours over the whole weekend didn't do anything, SO KEEP THE CAMERA! I would really just love to have the memory card back. Please e-mail me at the-fox-rocks@hotmail.com if you've got my camera. I won't get pissed and I won't swear or get mad or ask any questions, I just want the memory card.
Thank you, Dylan Thiessen

I realize this thread is old but seems logical to place my plea here too. I lost a black Sony DSC-W90 point and shoot camera on Sunday 5/30/11 near the Gold Panda show. I don't care about the camera I just want the photos.
If you found it, please e-mail me janet.lackey@gmail.com. Thanks!

Since this is coming up a lot this year, especially compared to years past, talk about your lost or stolen items here. And if you got robbed, help us out by letting us know exactly how? Most of us will be there next year, and will want to learn from your bad experiences.
Please be specific if you actually were robbed. "I left my camera at Ratatat and when I came back the next night it wasn't there, someone stole it," isn't actually theft as we know it at Sasquatch.

The people camped next to me were robbed. They left their car keys in their tent instead of carrying them in, and the thieves unlocked their car and stole an ipod and a camera. We asked around and nobody else had stuff stolen nearby, but none of the rest of us left car keys in our tents.
Everything of value was locked in the trunk of my car (out of sight) and I had my keys with me, so that's probably why I didn't lose anything.

The people I talked to (who made the sign, see the pictures thread) are pretty sure it was the same thing as J said. That being said, my friend left his keys in the tent (hidden away pretty well though) and we never had any problems.
I think that during the day before most people head in things are generally pretty safe. We were leaving iPods and cameras lying around the site and phones charging in cars (with the keys in the car) and there were periods where none of us were there. Probably not the smartest thing in the world, and I dont recommend it, but I think most people who are stealing things came specifically to steal things. Meaning they would wait until the campground was near deserted (does that happen? I have never stayed in the grounds past 3, with the exception of friday) and then just rip through peoples tents looking for stuff.
Then again, there are a few morons out there. My good friend put a little lock on his tent and it was literally slashed open with a knife. There was an iPod and really nice headphones inside, along with money and a Canadian passport if they were willing to dig through his bag. The only thing missing: a single joint.
A $200 tent ruined for a joint... Some people's children.

We had our beer cooler stolen on Friday while we were at the festival- it had a whopping 12 beers and a litre of wine in it, and we had a backup cooler so we didn't go without cold beer, but it was freaking annoying.

call me crazy but putting a lock on a tent when maybe one in a thousand tents have one would surely pique a thief's interest more so than one without. more harm than good in a sense

My cooler was one of the things I locked in my trunk every day, for the record.

call me crazy but putting a lock on a tent when maybe one in a thousand tents have one would surely pique a thief's interest more so than one without. more harm than good in a sense True, but again, they didnt even steal anything of value. Our neighbours left a bag of weed in a cup holder in a chair and it was still there when they got back at night. On my end, I didnt even close the tent one day, and in the morning I realized there was $40 lying on the floor. The best way is to be careful with where you leave anything of value, but even then, shit goes missing. I'm not sure exactly how, but we lost a chair the second day. Maybe someone needed a place to sit and forgot to return it, or maybe a member of my group took it somewhere and forgot it. Regardless, we found a much nicer one monday morning sitting by a trash can. A good tip, leave anything really valuable like passports, phones, money, and in previous years tickets in the glove box and lock it (assuming it is lockable). That way, even if you forget to lock your car or leave it open in the day, the really important stuff will still be there.

i lost my blanket and leggings i went back for it, and they were gone, so maybe that's considered stolen since they didn't return them to lost and found. sad face.
