Sasquatch 2011 is going to be incredible. The festivities begin Thursday night for some, and the first band will take the stage Friday afternoon.
As we count down to Sasquatch, what is the thing you're most looking forward to this year?

My first glimpse of the gorge as I get past the gates on Friday afternoon.

Seeing friends I haven't seen in a year and meeting new friends for the first time.
Honestly, the music is just an added bonus for me. Spending time with amazing people in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to is what will always bring me back year after year.
OH AND FUCKING GLOWPOCALYPSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first glimpse of the gorge as I get past the gates on Friday afternoon. I have a couple friends that will be experiencing that for the first time. I can't wait to walk beside them as they finally reach the top of the hill.

Seeing our friend's faces as they crest the hill for the first time.
The first Rolling Rock as we pitch our tent.
Being right up front for Jenny Lewis.
The first bite of biscuits and gravy in a year.
Just driving there and knowing that we're on our way to the best place and experience ever!

I'm a first-time 'squatcher too Pea, and I'm incredibly excited about it. I'm looking forward to making new friends (since I'm going solo) and all in all having an incredibly fun time. And the glowpocalypse too!

I'll send you a PM soon before the fest dude. Our group is mildly (massively) obsessed with glowy things so you and your hat are more than welcome to come hang out!

I can not wait to forget about everything else going on in the outside world.
I'm currently swamped with school and work and other crap and Sasquatch is the one weekend all year where nothing matters except awesome people and music.
It'll be a relief to be there.

I am most thankful for the need to learn about any of the 110 some bands playing that I might not already be familiar with, which in turn gives me a greater appreciation for music in general. Specifically music in a genre that I already prefer:-) Add to that the most amazing camaraderie at my favorite place to experience music and I am pretty much in my own personal heaven.

OMG I AM FRAKING OUT
I am looking forward to driving out of town, to seeing the skies that go on for miles at the gorge, to see our first timer's faces when they realize how truly amazing it is there and we weren't exaggerating all this time, to seeing a bunch of music which is one of my favorite things to do, to BiClyFri, to meeting a bunch of awesome people with to party with, and to the reset button I push each year when I shut myself in at the gorge for a few days and turn off the rest of the world.

You'll understand when you're older. 11 days older, to be exact. What chaco means is "make sure you can see the expressions on their faces as they see the gorge and all its majesty open up beneath them for the first time!" It's a favorite pastime of all Sasquatch veterans.

It's 9:00am on a Monday morning. Typically a lull. Gotta just sit back and let it happen, bro.
