That is pretty silly, Wonk got a steal of a deal. Wahoo will miss out on all of the craziness that is Albert the rest of the way. He is going to catch on fire sooner or later and his numbers will get to his averages.

It isn't a slump, he's a totally different player. I'm happy to get rid of him.

That is all that matters. Can't say much about that. I (as a Mariners fan) really do hope that he is this new version of himself. I would love a crippling contract to haunt that team for a while

Am I alone in thinking that any trade that involves Albert Pujols is just silly? I know he's in the worst slump of his career... but I mean, come on. That's actually my shadow you see, cause I'm standing right there with you on this one my furry little friend.

Those against this trade are underthinking it because the name Pujols is involved. I'm giving up the two guys leading my team in HRs, and they (Aviles/LeHair) could both outproduce Pujols on their own, while being flexible enough combined to fill every offensive position outside of Catcher. I'm overpaying for a guy who is probably hiding an injury, so the risk is all on my side. Drew is getting three studs who will help him climb out of the cellar. Pujols snapping out of a slump won't.
After your reactions, I was close to vetoing the trade myself, but I didn't want to be the deciding vote. Pujols ending the season where his numbers usually are is absurd. He would have to hit .340 with 35 bombs to do that, and the season is 1/6th over. I'm overpaying here, which is what I usually do. If the trade was vetoed, everyone else would try to get Pujols from Drew (since he obviously wants to get rid of him), and no one would have offered a package with as much upside as he got from me.

Wonk's got it here guys. Frankly I felt like he was giving me a gift. But really it's a win-win. Pujols MIGHT be the key to getting him into the upper-echelon if he recovers, and I got two guys with solid numbers all season. I get consistency, know gets a shot at glory.

I was starting the think Bonafacio was never going to do anything post-trade but finally got some SBs today. Hopefully he kicks this slump or that will be a horrible trade on my part

I'm trying really hard ( well, I'm trying), but I can't figure this out. I thought my moves brought me up to 6th, and I was excited. Now today, back to 9th. Oh, well.

CHUD, in fantasy baseball, you are not allowed to pick up the pitcher facing your favorite team.
Real life > Fantasy

CHUD, in fantasy baseball, you are not allowed to pick up the pitcher facing your favorite team. Real life > Fantasy I was hoping that he would pick up a handful of K's and only give up a few runs, which he did, and utlimately get the loss, which he didn't. I fucked up!

I find it nearly impossible to believe that I am not in last place in ERA and WHIP. I've DVR'd a couple games my pitchers are starting, and without fail, they get bombed early. I'm sure those who are below me in those categories have worse horror stories, but this is the worst stretch of pitching in fantasy baseball I've ever been through. I must be completely stubborn and stupid, because I still really like my staff. If I don't win this league, that is why, stubborn and stupid.

I offered you a trade the other night when I was drunk that was way too good, because I was only getting Lincecum. I thought better of it the next day when I realized I hate Lincecum more than you do. I might be willing to take Gallardo off your hands if the price is right. I have a boner for the players on my dominating team last year, and Gallardo was one of them (Pujols and McClutchen were others I overpaid for who were on my team last year). Also, I'm getting my ass kicked in pitching because I drafted Haren and Doc, who I love way too much for the same reason.

I just got Scherzer'd. SERVES ME RIGHT.
On a side note, I did notice that a certain Andy Dirks was picked up by a certain wonk during a certain series being played in Oakland.

In the beginning of the season I was kind of bummed we were doing Rotisserie scoring. I actually think I like it more now
