I've always thought C*nt Punter was a good name for a band. Dude, how misogynistic is that. Do you really wanna be associated with these words? Ladies what are your feelings on this name? I understand if you don't want to open a can of worms by responding, but sometimes boys really need to hear from you all on this, or else they keep saying things like the above. JWW, you are so much better than that. I agree. I know it was in good fun but it really is offensive. By and large this is a really open minded group of people and I don't have my feminist sensibilities offended very often. It is really nice to have a male feminist on the board too, so I don't end up being written off as some overly sensitive girl on the message board. It is worth calling people to task sometimes.

Friendly, you are correct, that is pretty misogynistic. However, as far as band names are concerned, at least to me, its more about the words sound together than what the words mean. Therefore, I change it to...
Bundt Punter! (as in bundt cake.)

That's riiight. You guys came to my rescue when I started the Girly Thread. Thanks for that. Not that I needed rescuing, though. I'm no damsel. Because that would be sexist to assume I couldn't help myself. I don't have a lot of patience for misogynistic comments either. Ask anyone who knows me--I'll let you know if comments go too far. That said, I gave JWW the benefit of the doubt because he is in fact a rad dude. But I do appreciate the regulation, Friendly and HG

Therefore, I change it to... Bundt Punter! (as in bundt cake.) Even if the other one wasn't offensive, this is still better because an image of a bundt cake being punted is very funny.

I defer to Friendly. He polices the Lotharios and I police the the imbeciles. I just like to back him up so that people know that's how we do things around here and it's not the case that there's just one really sensitive dude.

All I can picture is JWW punting a bundt cake and it exploding on contact only to leave him standing there like a sad child who's ice cream fell off the cone.

Something tells me the bundt wouldn't get very far...considering the gigantic hole in the center. And it being a cake and all. So yeah, I vote for this one. Its funny.

Maybe Bundt Bunter? As in the baseball term? People don't usually expect a bunt to go very far anyway, so maybe that's more reasonable.

Wait, can you imagine a band named Bundt Punter winning a grammy? Ah, man, that would be the best.

My favorite superhero name ever, even though its from Aqua Teen, is Mr. Mister. I take any chance I can to say it, and people look at me as though I am crazy.
