I know that their name has come up a time or two on the board, but I was curious to know if anyone else is as excited to see the Old 97's at the Gorge as I am? Wreck Your Life and Fight Songs have both been on heavy rotation for me since they first came out and I remember their last live show as being somewhere between a bar-room brawl and a tent revival. I can only imagine what this will look like ed through the supreme awesomeness of the Sasquatch lens!

I've never seen Old 97's, and I can't fucking wait. One of the sweetest surprises on this year's lineup for me.

'Deyz playin' here on Saturday with my friends Those Darlins openin' up, but unfortunately I will have to miss both to run sound for some old people's classic rock band playing for a sorority event. Weird mix, should be interesting.
Sorry, none of that had any to do with what we're talking about.

Reading the lineup poster and coming across the Old 97's, especially so far up in the bill, was my "Holy Shit!" moment for the festival (well, after seeing Soft Bulletin, of course...).
Stamper, just out of curiosity, which albums/songs have you heard? They've shifted styles a few times over the years and I wonder which iteration you've come into contact with.

I found them very boring when I saw them last summer. Then again, I am not an Old 97's fan, so it's probably that I didn't "get it."

Fuck yeah! I didn't even see them on the lineup until a week after its release, so excited.

I lived in Texas for quite a while. Liking the Old 97s is basically mandatory there. Yes, I'll be seeing them.
