but all those mellow vibes and tropicalia rhythms are going to make for some weird, space lounge-y kind of atmosphere at the Gorge. [/i].[/quote] My thoughts exactly. This will be all be delightfully absurd in Gorge context.

Goes without saying that they'll be some of the finest musicians at the Gorge that whole weekend. JUST LISTEN TO THAT FUCKIN' VIBRAPHONE PLAYER!

Goes without saying that they'll be some of the finest musicians at the Gorge that whole weekend. JUST LISTEN TO THAT FUCKIN' VIBRAPHONE PLAYER! I was totally about to comment on that guy's glockenspiel solo, but after this comment I had to look up the difference, and it's a good thing I didn't. That would have been embarrassing! I would not normally pay to see them, and I agree that it would be pretty cool to experience them in a Gorge setting, but they're on your top five/ten most exciting acts for Sasquatch this year? This surprises me. Yeah, they're great musicians, but their music is horribly derivative. Personally, the "lounge" thing is kinda boring too. I'd much rather have some big band jazz or swing action. Either way, if there aren't any conflicts I'd love to burn one down with you guys and see if I can get into their groove. I can't decided whether I'd rather be laying on the grass or right up in front for their show. I think location would dramatically affect the experience.

Personally, I love (LOVE) lounge music. And anyway, they're top ten on my list to see because the lineup is balls DERP.

I have heard that the Globes are amazing and that they have an incredible drummer. I heard this from a drummer in another band that I know. To answer your question though, no I have never seen them.

I figured PM moved its way up your list due to the balls line-up. The only lounge music I ever find myself seeking out is Mr. Cheese. Oh, opinions!

Personally, I love (LOVE) lounge music. And anyway, they're top ten on my list to see because the lineup is balls DERP. I'll take care of this for you. Gramma's top 10: 1. Flaming Lips 2. Wilco 3. Old 97s 4. Ratatat 5. Pink Martini 6. Sleigh Bells 7. Das Racist 8. Modest Mouse 9. Guided By Voices 10. Bassnectar Outside of those ten, you only have five others that remotely interest you: Deerhunter Death Cab For Cutie Decemberists Major Lazer (just because Stormy likes them) Noah & The Whale

Pretty close there, Gunther. PRETTY close.
And yeah, I will. That's always the case, though. I don't mind; I just like being at Sasquatch.

I'd probably move Pink Martini, Ratatat, and Modest Mouse down, move Das Racist, Sleigh Bells, Decemberists, Deerhunter, and GBV up, then it would be more accurate. Plus, I'd drop Noah & The Whale, since I don't think you actually give two shits about them, you just mentioned you sort of like them in a post once. Then I'd maybe add Foo Fighters, just because you feel like you have to see them.
Anyway, I made that list entirely based on Gramma posts, so there was no input from PMs or personal conversations. I could probably do the same for most of the regulars here, and be fairly accurate.

You would be a bit tougher since you haven't established your taste in music, since you are a self-proclaimed noob to music. You've also only been here three months. I know you like Tokyo Police Club a lot. I can give you a top ten of who you should see, but I'm running out the door now.

Ya but I haven't really mentioned Skrillex much on this forum and Know thinks my life revolves around deadmau5 and sounders. Which is half true.
