As far as metal goes, In Flames blows.

That said, The Jester Race is one of my all time favorite records, and everything up until (and even including on a good day) Reroute to Remain was some solid fucking melodic death metal.

Paradiso Festival will be two days long next year. I highly doubt I'll be up for another 3-ish days of the Gorge so soon after Sasquatch.

Summer Camp is starting to reveal some of their lineup. This festival seems very Jam Band dominant. It is the same weekend as Sasquatch. There were some crossovers last year, and probably will be again this year. And they might take some bands that we want at Sasquatch like they did last year with Primus. They've been releasing several bands a day starting yesterday I believe. This is what I have gathered so far minus a few I don't believe are relevant.
Trey Anastasio Band (2 Days) The Avett Brothers Big Gigantic Yonder Mountain String Band Gramatik GRiZ Keller Williams Taj Mahal Cornmeal Lettuce

Haha. Yeah, those are the only 2 bands from that list I haven't heard of.
Also I think these bands play like every year at Summer Camp.

While the discussion of BTBAM is still relatively fresh I'd just like to chime in and say that they're fucking amazing. I remember buying the Colors Live DVD when I was like 15 and watching that shit every day for like a month straight.
Anyways, Sled Island just announced a presale for 2013. I'm assuming it'll be $150 again which is an incredible price for the best week of the year in Calgary. I think this might be the year that it really blows up. The lineups continue to get bigger/better and the festival gets a lot of positive press from fans, journalists, and musicians. It's impossible to speculate at this point but it's an awesome time and I hope all my fellow Calgarians attend!

I'm there every year and 2013 will not be an exception. Being that I'm out for Sasquatch 2013 I will more than likely pick up the full week pass when they come available.

I've always wanted to check out SnowBall. So far the lineup doesn't look like something I would travel to Colorado for.

Sooo holy shit if this is real. Didn't come directly from the festival though, so it's either a leak or fake. Most likely fake, but holy shit if it's real.

Anyone been to or thought of going to Oxegen? Seems to pull a phenomenal lineup. And my Irish roomie's parents live a stone's throw from where it goes on. I think its a sign. Who wants to go to Ireland in July 2013?

Who wants to go to Ireland in July 2013? If you want to go to a festival in Ireland, you should really check out Electric Picnic. I've been teetering on going to that over the past few years.

I've been to Oxygen. It's fun and really close to Dublin which is nice in terms of travel convenience. David Bowie was supposed to headline one of the nights but backed out THE DAY FUCKING OF!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was replaced by the Darkness no harm done, right? #STILLNOTFUCKINGOVERIT

It was also the very first year of the festival so I'm sure a lot has changed. However, given the proximity to Duin I'm sure all bussing and transportation is still in effect and probably even better at this point.
