I think we're underestimating how many festivals there are in the US. 40 is like 10% of US festivals. There's a ton of festivals and most of them are way more top loaded than Sasquatch. Some of these lineups have Outkast and then basically nothing else.

EDC is way too big to not have a solid chunk of good music mixed in, but the people and location just make it sound bad to me. It's so hot in Vegas at that time of year and such a hassle to travel and worry about hotels and all that jazz. Hard Summer is definitely always a good option since the lineups are always very good, although there's still tons of douchey people there too. EDC is from dusk til dawn. No sunshine less heat. I have heard that if you aren't lucky enough to get the EDC shuttle you are fucked when you hit the traffic close to the venue. I have greater fears of it being more difficult and expensive to get around LA.

I'm loving all of these other lineups coming out! It's making all my guesses for the Sasquatches seem either more or less likely. And it's really making me wish I had more money to travel around to more festivals!

Man that hangout lineup has at least 6 past or potential Sasquatch headliners on it.
Also very happy to see Interpol on a lineup. They could switch sets with the National and half the people probably wouldn't even notice.

I don't recall seeing Violent Femmes on any other festival lineups yet. They are pretty low on this line up, but I would think they would have the potential to headline Sasquatch.

They are on the Big Guava poster. I don't know about headlining Sasquatch, but they would be a welcome addition, especially if they are performing their first album in its entirety again.

I'm fine with the Femmes but they'd definitely be like mid-afternoon or headlining the Bigfoot

I'm fine with the Femmes but they'd definitely be like mid-afternoon or headlining the Bigfoot Yeah, I mostly assumed they were capable because they were up toward the top of some festival lineups in the last year or so, and Sasqatch isn't known for having a lot of huge headliners. I am usually shocked about the placement of artists on those posters. That's probably because I pay very little attention to pop music and radio, but I think we can all agree that festival placement is all fucked up.

There's no way the Femmes would headline; they'd probably get a spot similar to Elvis Costello last year. And there'd probably be just as many annoying teenagers asking who's playing on stage. But I'd love to see them again, so they're a more than welcome booking if we get 'em.

Didn't last year Snacks say he was trying to change up the conventions of importance that came with billing on the poster and that's why he did the poster with names all over? Yet, it was also the year where he had some of the biggest headliners of the last few years. I'd like to think with his approach to changing how billing is done, it opens us up for a more varied selection of headliners than the same basic ones we're seeing on a lot of these posters.

A lot of electronic music festivals have gone the route where they just list in alphabetical order. It's probably more for djs, because they all want to feel important.

Squamish fest lineup will be out Jan 29th. I wonder if they are intentionally putting it out earlier than Sasquatch and Pemberton or if they just happened to be ready. Pretty sure the lineup came out in March last year. They usually add bands later on, so maybe they just want to get the buzz started early in hope of helping sell twice as many tickets this year. squamishfestival.com/Doesn't seem like there will be a lineup release party, which is a shame since I enjoyed them in the past.

If the Julysquatch lineup isnt balls awesome this video might have just persuaded me to roll up to canaydia. Please do! I have free camping options available in Squamish, and it may be the only festival we make it to this year.
