Has anyone ever done SXSW? That seems awful to me, it's just like one giant line and realizing I am not nearly cool enough to get into any of the shows I actually would want to see.
I went last year and had the time of my life. The way it's portrayed in the media and what it's like for the average person on the ground isn't remotely the same. Journalists and other people with connections will spend all of their time trying to get into these super exclusive parties while I just posted up at a cool party each day and saw lots of great music.
Wow Lollapalooza probable headliners are really bad. Mumford & Sons, The Killers, The Postal Service, Phoenix, The National, and Vampire Weekend. This is turning into a bad year for headliners in general.
Do you think every festival collectively shit their pants and signed The Postal Service to a headliner slot the second they announced they were touring? They are headlining/subheadlining what seems like half the festivals in America this summer. I bet if people realized that they would be EVERYWHERE this year they'd have been more hesitant to book them.
