Gambino has some killer verses. I'm not the biggest fan of his albums per se, but when he is featured on a track I almost always enjoy it.

Side note, someday I'd really like to attend the Gathering of the Juggalos but with noise canceling head phones on the entire time. I just kind of want to watch that happen. I think it would be a significant event. Also, I'm pretty sure that there's more Juggalo tourists than Juggalos at the gathering at this point.

Another lineup that we can try to draw conclusion off of. It's a month before Sasquatch. One thing I can say, by comparing it to the Firefly lineup several of these artists are touring from spring to summer. Once again I need to reevaluate my contest lineup guesses. Edit: Also last time they held this festival it was entirely EDM.

I was just looking at that. A lot of festival announcements this week. As far as the lineup and timing, I would say that Hangout is closest to what the Sasquatch lineup will look like. I predict many cross overs. Snacks is usually pretty good about having a wildcard in the top tier though, so I think we will still be surprised.

L-O-fucking-L at Gov. Ball placing Phoenix so low compared to them headlining Coachella last year. God Coachella sure has shit the bed with their top billings lately.

Looking at last years Hangout and Maysquatch, I only count 5 crossovers....no headliners crossed over (Macklemore played Hangout not as a headliner)

I doubt anyone had this on their "top 40 US festivals" list. I fully expect Outkast to be at both Sasquatches since they plan on playing every single festival in the world this year.

I keep seeing all these posters with no Fuck Buttons on them. It half makes me nervous about them not playing festivals and half makes me excited about how special it will be if Sasquatch gets them.

What The Festival 2014 was announced a few days ago, with a brand new date change to mix things up. Last year it was incredibly dry and dusty at the end of July, so they moved it up about 5 weeks to late June. I'm very excited, once again.

I heard it was coined Dust The Festival or What The Dustival after last year. I am a little disappointed with the date because before there was a gap between other potential festivals, but now if I want to hit up a June festival I have more choices. I guess the lineups will have to be my guide.

Foster is getting pushed right up lineups, headliner/sub-headliner with only one album and another on the way. This new album must be pretty good if promoters are staking that much in them this early in their career. I mean it wasn't long ago that they were playing to a packed yeti stage.
Another thought is that it is good to see Modest Mouse on at least one lineup(Hangout) considering that their new album should be out this year at some point, if it doesn't go the way of Dre's detox and become vaporware.

I think we're underestimating how many festivals there are in the US. 40 is like 10% of US festivals.

I heard it was coined Dust The Festival or What The Dustival after last year. I am a little disappointed with the date because before there was a gap between other potential festivals, but now if I want to hit up a June festival I have more choices. I guess the lineups will have to be my guide. Yeah, the dust was absurd. There were a lot of people there who've been to Burning Man and other desert based festivals who couldn't care less about the dust, but for some, like me, it was a surprise obstacle to have to overcome for basically the entire festival. You couldn't leave the campgrounds or the pool area without a face mask or scarf over your mouth. This was especially true after dark when everyone was dancing in front of stages, it turned in to crazy dust zones where visibility was reduced to about 15 feet and everything got pretty surreal and weird. Every morning when you wake up you realize that your eyes and ears and every crack on your face is filled with dust and you feel very dirty. I saw a lot of people complaining on the facebook post that it was the same weekend as EDC and one week before Paradiso, but as far as I'm concerned that's fine. The type of people who generally attend both of those festivals are the type of people I generally don't feel like associating with anyways. (Just making generalizations, I know there's plenty of cool people too who would go to either of those). The date change is all good for me, because I can't afford Sasquatch this year so it brings my year's first festival that much closer to me. If that also means the festival grounds are in much better shape and the festival will be a better experience, then that's a bonus!

Even though EDC is mostly for the EDM Douche crowd they still have at least one stage that plays exclusively Techno/Tech House. I am hoping to get to a festival where I can experience that something like that. I can fly to Vegas for pretty cheap on Allegiant. I heard it is such a huge cluster fuck though, I am hesitant to go. If I can attend a festival that offers half of the music with less hassle I would be happy. I guess there is always Hard, they'll most likely have a Dirtybird stage again.

EDC is way too big to not have a solid chunk of good music mixed in, but the people and location just make it sound bad to me. It's so hot in Vegas at that time of year and such a hassle to travel and worry about hotels and all that jazz. Hard Summer is definitely always a good option since the lineups are always very good, although there's still tons of douchey people there too.

EDC is basically an entire festival based on tweens trying molly for the first time.
